TEAM
The Core ADAS Advanced UX team works on Lv2 to Lv4 automated driving technologies, including Lv2 advanced driver assistance interaction design (driving and parking assistance), UX design for Lv4 automated driving mobility, and UX research for these products. Our team includes project managers, interaction designers, UI designers, 3D designers, 3D engineers, and UX researchers. We value teamwork, transparency, and open-minded communication as we collaborate daily with colleagues and partners from multiple regions and backgrounds.
 
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
As a Senior UX Researcher, you will be essential in exploring user interactions with our ADAS technologies. By leveraging principles of human behavior and usability, you will guide the creation of intuitive and effective user interfaces. Your contributions will ensure our products not only advance technological boundaries but also remain accessible, safe, and satisfying for every user.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conduct in-depth user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and interactions with ADAS technologies.
    • Apply UX Research principles to evaluate the usability and cognitive aspects of vehicle interfaces and systems.
    • Design and execute studies using diverse methods, including task analysis, simulation studies, eye-tracking, and physiological measurements.
    • Collaborate with UX designers, engineers, and product managers to translate research findings into actionable design and engineering recommendations.
    • Advocate for user-centered design principles, ensuring the user experience remains a primary focus throughout the product development process.
    • Contribute to the creation of user personas, journey maps, and usability goals.
    • Analyze and interpret research data, presenting insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
    • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in human factors, UX research, and ADAS technologies.
    • Come to the office 3 days per week per our hybrid work policy and report to the manager in charge of Mobility Human Factor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • At least 8 years of experience in a UX Research role, preferably within the automotive industry or related technology sectors.
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, and can work effectively in cross-functional teams.
    • Proficiency with research and design tools (e.g., Qualtrics, UserTesting, Figma, LucidSpark, Miro etc).

NICE TO HAVES:

    • Fluent in conversational Japanese
All interviews will be arranged via Google Meet, unless otherwise stated.
