About the Role

As a Product Designer, you will play a significant role in shaping the next generation of our client facing products. You will work within cross-functional teams, including user researchers, product managers, engineers and data scientists, to create user centered, engaging experiences that deliver insights and intelligence for our clients. You will play a key role in transforming knowledge into actionable insights that drive investment decisions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

User Research and Strategy

  • Collaborate on and conduct user research (e.g. interviews, surveys, contextual inquiries) to understand user needs, behaviors, motivations, workflows and pain points.
  • Translate research insights and business requirements into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Define information architecture and create designs that produce coherent, usable, and effective workflows.
  • Articulate the rationale behind design decisions, grounding them in research findings, data, user-centered design principles and impact on key business metrics.
  • Plan, conduct, and analyze usability testing sessions to evaluate current products and proposed designs, iterating based on feedback.
  • Adopt a systems and service design thinking, ensuring solutions are scalable and they integrate efficiently with data, workflows and systems.

UI Design

  • Design visually appealing, user-friendly, and accessible interfaces, applying principles of typography, color theory, iconography, and layout.
  • Craft efficient and engaging interfaces by leveraging and contributing to our Design System, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Create compelling visual stories through data, and optimize comprehension and access to insight through carefully crafted information design.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure high-quality implementation of designs and establish efficient design-dev collaboration processes and UI handoff.

Collaboration & Impact

  • Build strong partnerships with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders across the organization.
  • Advocate for user-centered design and demonstrate the impact of thoughtful product design.
  • Contribute to our Design System, team processes, and design methodologies in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
  • Provide constructive feedback to other team members while also listening to feedback with an open mind.
  • Contributing to an inclusive, collaborative, creative and fun team culture.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in UX or UI Design roles.
    • Proven experience working on complex, B2B or enterprise projects of significant scope.
    • Experience working in Agile environments.
    • Ability to take ownership and initiative while maintaining high collaboration standards.
    • Energy, passion and open mindset, receptive to collaboration and feedback.
    • A strong portfolio showcasing your end-to-end design process, problem-solving skills, and high-quality UI/UX work.
  • Skills:
    • Familiarity and experience with user research methodologies (both qualitative and quantitative).
    • Strong understanding of UCD principles, information architecture, interaction design, and HCI foundations.
    • Visual design skills with a strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, iconography, and Gestalt principles.
    • Proficiency in design and prototyping software including AI-assisted tools.
    • Experience creating or contributing to Design Systems.
    • Ability to design with accessibility standards in mind.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Deep knowledge of data visualization principles is a plus.
