Why join us?
Handoff is the AI agent that runs a construction company. We help remodelers automate estimating, streamline operations, and win more work - backed by real-time cost data, intuitive design, and workflows that “speak contractor.” With over 10,000 monthly active users and $6B in annualized project volume already flowing through our platform, we’re becoming the trusted partner for the people who build our homes.
We are backed by $25M+ raised from Y Combinator, Sequoia, Initialized, and Greycroft. Our team is distributed across hubs in Austin, São Paulo, and Buenos Aires, and we are deeply focused on building intuitive, high-impact solutions that make a real difference for our users.
Staff Product Designer at Handoff
At Handoff, we’re building the future of AI-driven tools for construction businesses. As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping intuitive, powerful experiences for our B2B SaaS platform.
This is more than a design role - it’s about leading complex, cross-functional projects from ambiguity to launch. You’ll work across web and mobile to simplify workflows, scale design systems, and bring clarity to messy problems. We’re looking for a strong generalist who thrives on autonomy, but also knows how to align teams, set direction, and ensure execution stays on track.

What you'll do

    • Own design projects end to end, driving vision and execution while providing clarity and direction across teams
    • Lead the full design process from user research and early concepts through high-fidelity UI, prototyping, and developer-ready assets
    • Simplify complex workflows into intuitive, scalable solutions that empower our users
    • Leverage AI tools and workflows to accelerate design work and unlock new creative possibilities
    • Build and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across platforms
    • Partner closely with PMs and engineers to define product requirements, co-create solutions, and iterate based on technical input and user feedback
    • Align cross-functional teams on design goals and priorities, maintaining momentum and delivering high-quality outcomes
    • Embrace fast feedback loops and experimentation to validate ideas early and often

What you'll bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
    • 7+ years of experience designing and shipping successful web and mobile products, ideally in B2B SaaS.
    • A proven track record of leading design projects and ensuring alignment between design, product, and engineering.
    • Deep expertise in user-centered design and systems thinking - you can balance visual craft with scalability.
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills - you influence outcomes, not just pixels.
    • Comfort working in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities and ambiguous problems.
    • Experience using AI tools thoughtfully to enhance speed, creativity, and insight.
    • High autonomy, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to drive product development with clarity and confidence.
    • Fluency with Figma and modern design workflows.

What we offer

    • Competitive Salary + Equity
    • Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO)
    • 401(k)
    • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
    • Life & Disability Insurance
    • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
    • Dependent Care FSA (DC FSA)
    • Relocation Allowance
    • Top-Notch Equipment - Choose your laptop!
    • Team Offsites Around the World – In 2024, we gathered in Poland, Mexico, and Florida - where to next?
If you are passionate about building exceptional user experiences and want to be part of a team that values product impact and technical excellence, we’d love to hear from you!
