Creative Technologist & Data-Driven Designer (Freelance, South America)

🚀 THE ROLE

Force of Nature is looking for a creative technologist who is equal parts:

• Illustrator and visual designer

• Data storyteller and information designer

• Figma power-user and UI/UX builder

• AI-native maker who uses tools like Midjourney, Runway, Firefly, and DALL·E to accelerate creative exploration

You’ll transform complex concepts — dashboards, charts, quantified insights, growth models, screenshots, product flows — into beautiful, clear, brand-consistent visual narratives.

This is a role for someone who sees design as both art and information architecture. Someone who loves color, composition, and creative expression — and loves making messy data feel obvious and elegant.

🧩 What You’ll Do

Design & Visual Storytelling

• Turn charts, dashboards, KPIs, product flows, and models into polished, intuitive visual narratives.

• Convert raw data or product screenshots into presentation-ready assets, illustrations, or infographics.

• Create beautiful slides, landing page concepts, UI screens, and marketing visuals.

• Extend and evolve our visual system across content, decks, docs, ads, and internal tools.

AI-Accelerated Creative Production

• Use AI tools (Midjourney, Runway, Firefly, DALL·E, Figma AI) as creative accelerators to:

  • Generate concepts

  • Explore styles

  • Produce illustrations

  • Build prompt libraries

  • Scale visual systems

Design Systems & Creative Ops

• Build repeatable creative systems: templates, prompt patterns, components, color libraries.

• Collaborate with our design pod and growth team to ensure visual consistency and speed.

• Propose automations using AI, plugins, or pipelines to reduce production time.

UI/UX & Product Visualization

• Create intuitive UI mockups, product screens, and interaction flows.

• Translate technical product ideas into clean, legible, high-fidelity visuals.

• Support UX/UI refinement when needed (visual design, layout, spacing, hierarchy).

1. Strong Artist & Visual Designer

You have deep craft in:

• Illustration or concept art

• Composition, color, layout, hierarchy

• Brand systems and visual languages

• Turning ideas into polished, evocative visuals

2. Data Storyteller & Information Designer

You can:

• Turn messy dashboards into beautiful narrative slides

• Summarize quantitative concepts visually

• Build charts, graphs, and data-driven infographics

• Use design to clarify insights

3. Figma Expert

You are:

• Fast and fluid in Figma

• Comfortable building component libraries, design systems, and assets

• Able to translate concepts into UI/UX flows

• Good at structuring files, layers, and reusable systems

4. AI-Native Creator

You frequently use:

• Midjourney (illustration, styles, concepts)

• Runway (motion, video, composites)

• Firefly or DALL·E (rapid renderings and variations)

• Figma AI (templates, rewrites, layout support)

You understand how to:

• Use AI to explore directions

• Blend AI output with human craft

• Maintain brand consistency with AI variation

5. Jack-of-All-Design-Trades

Comfort across:

• UI/UX

• Brand and visual identity

• Illustration

• Data visualization

• Presentation design

• Marketing visuals

• Decks, ads, social content

• Light motion (bonus)
