UX Designer

This exciting new role will give you the opportunity to apply your talents to a range of projects working across a diverse range of council services.

We need to create intuitive user experiences for a wide range of users with varying needs. This might be people using our social care services or applying for school places. It might be someone giving up smoking. It might be someone who just wants to set up a council tax direct debit or order a new recycling bin.

The services we provide affect people’s lives in many ways and you will be helping ensure those people have the best experience possible when they access our services online.

Ultimately, you will be front and centre in our mission to transform how we work and ensure the needs of our users drive what we do.

On a more practical level you’ll be doing things like wireframing and prototyping, conducting user research, developing personas, usability testing and designing page components and layouts.
