FitXR is hiring Product Designer
Are you looking for the next stage in your Design career at a fast-moving startup where you can have a real impact? Can you help navigate the complexities involved in motivating people to make exercise a habit through fun and engaging activities?
About Us:
We are on a mission to redefine fitness and prove that exercise can be fun - and for everyone. We believe in a future where exercise everywhere - whether that is the gym, the park or at home - is enhanced through engaging technology that extends your reality.
To achieve that vision we are first building the world’s first virtual gym. Like a virtual Equinox, it will be a place where you can meet like minded people and experience a variety of the highest quality workouts, from boxing to cardio to yoga.
To date we have built the first component of this virtual gym, BoxVR, a boxing-inspired workout app which has been described as 'Guitar Hero crossed with a studio boxing workout'. It is the only VR app with workouts choreographed by professional fitness instructors and is currently one of the top selling apps on the Oculus, PlayStationVR and Steam stores.
The Role:
As a Product Designer for mobile you will be responsible for designing and delivering a compelling mobile experience that supports the FitXR ecosystem by motivating and engaging users. You will work with the product team to design the app from screen wireframes to features and flows. Strong experience of greenfield projects through to live mobile applications will be ideal. You will communicate that vision to a team of developers, facilitate their tasks and provide all necessary feedback to create a top quality product within the available time frame.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a keen understanding of how to use mobile applications to drive user retention. You should have proven management experience and be comfortable with both waterfall and agile systems of development.
