How do we work in the Commerce Design team at Strix?


We are looking for a talented person with at least 5 years of experience in digital design.


About Strix

Strix provides consulting and implementation services in the area of omnichannel, e-commerce and digital transformation for companies from the B2C and B2B sectors. As one of the most experienced, official Adobe (Magento) partners in Europe, we have been implementing Magento-based e-commerce solutions for over 13 years for leaders in the DIY, electronic, construction, automotive, fashion & beauty, financial and FMCG industries. Properly constructed organizational culture and numerous locations in the region of Central and Eastern Europe guarantee effective knowledge transfer and the highest quality of the implemented projects.

Main responsibilities:

  • Leading, designing, and providing help and guidance to the entire design team.

  • Constant communication of information from clients about project progress and potential problems to members of the design team.

  • Sharing knowledge, motivating and inspiring others to seek knowledge and bold ideas.

  • Identifying risks associated with the design process and reacting to problems in the design process.

  • Maintaining the coherence of the team's work, ensuring the highest quality while maintaining the established internal rules.

  • Regular supervision of the design process and identifying areas for improvement.

  • Taking responsibility for the final result of a sprint or iteration of 1 to 3 projects.

  • Performing audits of e-commerce solutions based on the expert knowledge and heuristics of Baymard Institute.

  • Collecting business requirements and customer needs for projects.

  • Competition research (benchmarking).

  • Preparing a proto-personas based on desk research and data-based personas, along with obtaining the necessary data (in-depth interviews, surveys, etc.)

  • Conducting workshops with customers to gather requirements and identify unique brand value.

  • Organizing and conducting application usability tests.

  • Preparation of documentation of the collected requirements and information drawn from the research phase and recommended solutions.


Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a UX/UI Designer or Product Designer.

  • An excellent portfolio of digital products and knowledge of e-commerce website design patterns.

  • The ability to present clear and concise arguments for design decisions.

  • Excellent knowledge of design tools and the principles of composition and typography.

  • Strong competences to convince stakeholders to the recommended solutions.

  • Excellent knowledge of UX principles and best practices, of technological possibilities and SEO requirements, of Baymard Institute heuristics.

  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility rules.

  • Experience in designing for e-commerce.

  • Understanding of omnichannel processes.

  • High creativity.

  • The ability to search and create simple but effective solutions.

  • Willingness to impart knowledge, inspire and teamwork.

  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and CMS systems.

  • Fluent knowledge of English and Polish at the level of at least B2 +.


Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with the Magento or Shopware system.
