Why Recharge.com

We are the leading one-stop-shop for branded payments, making online recharge possible for anyone, anywhere at any time — whether you or someone you love needs credit for calling, gaming, entertainment or money. This is your chance to join an ambitious scaleup in a state of rapid growth; we’ll push you to develop yourself and help you create a real impact in your role.

Put simply: we could write history together.

We won’t bore you with a corporate spiel about how we might be taking on the world of branded payments (spoiler: we are).

Instead, we’ll let the numbers speak for themselves: $36 million in funding (and counting!), 50%+ growth in 2020, projected $500 million in sales in 2021, 2.5 million active customers, a presence in 180 countries and 22 markets, a team of 140+ employees and 35+ nationalities, and 1 person missing — you.

We’re on the hunt for the hungriest and most passionate talent out there. If at any point your brain screams “I want in!” while you’re reading this, then consider this the sign you’ve been looking for: we want you too.

The role

We’re looking for a talented, confident Senior UX Designer with experience in conducting user research and developing UX strategy to join our UX & Desing Team, reporting to Alexander Kruck-Kneip. Are you experienced in user-centric design and fueled by a passion for empathising with users? Then you might be the person to help us drive innovation and elevate Recharge.com’s cross-platform user experience.

What will I do?

As a Senior UX Designer, you uncover user insights and opportunities for improving our products by planning, conducting and analyzing user research. You work with your Product Owner to formulate strategic decisions and actions based on customer insights and data, and represent the voice of the user advocating for customer-centricity in the product direction. And, collaborate with developers to understand technical limitations, overcome issues and deliver quality solutions. Communicating early and often with stakeholders to incorporate feedback and aligning on user and commercial needs are going to be part of your responsibilities as well.

You will also facilitate (remote) workshops, ideation sessions and other design-led activities to help solve complex business problems and unite project teams, and translate insights and requirements into wireframes, user flows, low- / high-fidelity mock-ups that solve user problems.

You will rapidly prototype and test to iterate designs, strengthen and grow the design community by participating in recruitment and knowledge-sharing activities, and proactively seek out opportunities to advance the team and its processes.

Your new team

Your new team will consist of hungry young professionals that are ready to make an impact on the business including your Team Lead, 1 Senior UX Designer and 1 UX Designer.

What you have:

  • 5+ years experience working as a UX Designer, preferably in a senior role

  • Demonstrable experience of designing mobile-first for responsive web products

  • A thorough understanding of different quantitative and qualitative research methods and tools and when to apply them

  • Confidence in planning, executing, analyzing and reporting back the results of research projects

  • Proven capability of developing, promoting and carrying out UX strategy

  • A ‘fail fast, learn faster’ attitude and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

  • Fluency in English (we love diversity so other languages are a plus!)

It would also be great if you have experience in...

  • E-commerce on a global scale

  • Designing for mobile apps

  • Figma

  • Data and testing platforms e.g. Google Analytics, Hotjar, VWO, Lookback, UsabilityHub
