The Opportunity
This role is full-time and permanent. We are based in Cork but are open to remote working within Ireland.
We are looking for a talented UX Designer to join our expanding UX Team.
You will work alongside a fun and highly motivated cross-functional team (UX, Research, Product Management, Development, Architecture, QA), in a supportive agile culture, where flexibility allows you the best possible work-life balance.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Help evolve our product into a world-class communications platform that delivers great experiences to our users
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, Researchers, Data Scientists, and Engineers to build a deep understanding of users' needs and translate them into inspiring interfaces
- Contribute to user research initiatives (usability tests, surveys, interviews, and so on) alongside UX Researchers and Product Managers.
- Facilitate UX design workshops with the various stakeholders
- Take full ownership of your work every step of the way; from concept to launch
- Bring designs to life. Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and interactions to effectively communicate design ideas
- Continuously iterate and improve on your designs based on team critique, usability testing as well as internal stakeholder and external feedback
Candidate Expertise required
- 3+ years experience as a UX designer, ideally for B2B SAAS products
- Experience working in agile environments, collaborating with multidisciplinary product delivery teams
- Excellent interaction design skills with knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability best practice and cutting edge design patterns
- A portfolio featuring examples of your best design work and demonstrating ‘what’ the problem was, ‘who’ it was for and ‘how’ it was solved
- Experience in common wireframing and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD (Our team uses Figma)
- Operational understanding of accessibility and ability to incorporate accessibility into designs
- A Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, Multimedia, Product Design, Computer Science or equivalent
Nice to have:
- Bonus Points for: Experience designing interfaces that use data visualizations to communicate vital information to users with and without data backgrounds.
