As a UX Designer you will be instrumental in turning new ideas into Mendix applications with a high quality of User Experience. Guiding teams in taking a User Centred approach to agile application development. Coming up with new and innovative solutions to complex business challenges. Operating from within the UX Chapter team, you’ll work with a number of our development teams to deliver those experiences. On top of that, the UX Chapter itself is responsible for a number of services and initiatives such as our Design Systems and innovating in the field of User Experience & our Mendix platform.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Bringing UX skills and product expertise to our team and our company.
- Providing advice and guidance to our teams on how to maximise User Experience in our applications and department processes.
- Translating business purposes and user needs into innovative and differentiating designs resulting into efficient, intuitive and highly usable (mobile) user applications.
- Presenting and advocating new ideas and designs to stakeholders as well as development teams to create a synergy between UX design and the Mendix platform.
- Enabling our teams to integrate UX in an Agile environment, taking the lead in a User Centered approach.
- Building a scalable UX practice via - amongst others - Design Systems.
We are looking for you if you have:
- The successful candidate will have relevant UX design experience.
- Ideally a degree certified in User Experience Design, Interaction Design or Product design.
- Experience in designing mobile friendly websites and web-based applications.
- Demonstrated experience in building UX deliverables such as wireframes, prototypes, user journeys and style guides.
- Expert knowledge of best practices in Interaction Design, Data Visualisation, Information Architecture and UI conventions as applied to complex business applications.
- A solid understanding of and intermediate experience with HTML5, CSS3 and SASS.
- Proven experience in working with design- and prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, Invision or Axure
- You are invested in people and knowing how to help them improve their skills, both on a technical- and personal level.
- You are a team player, and have a positive, can-do attitude. Even when things go wrong.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to speak English fluently.
- Are open minded and able to think outside the box.
