The Creativity & Productivity (C&P) Business Group is the biggest division of Logitech, consisting of computer mice, trackballs, keyboards, and presentation remotes. It is a key pillar of Logitech’s past, present, and future as a global brand known for great product design and exceptional user experiences. The Logitech C&P Software team is looking for a User Experience Design Lead that understands complex architectural systems that underlie beautiful user-facing interfaces.

The role

We are looking for an innovative, self-motivated User Experience Designer with a passion for Leading design teams in creating best-in-class software experiences with related hardware connections. You are a systems-oriented thinker, who is happiest when solving highly ambiguous, multi-faceted problems. 


You love the intellectual challenge of simplifying highly technical problems in elegantly simple ways, whilst also having an eye for beautifully crafted user interfaces.

You will use a variety of methods, including wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, and specifications to communicate design thinking to senior leadership, engineering, and product partners at every phase of product development. You will champion the human voice and invent and simplify technical solutions to make them powerful tools that are easy to use. 


You will collaborate on a daily basis with a world-class, multi-disciplinary team of design and research professionals working on some of the most challenging opportunities at Logitech today.

You have the precision of a researcher, the logic of an engineer, the eye of a UI designer, and can capably generate many solutions to a problem and design approaches to test them. You rigorously generate data to build a deep understanding of products in order to make informed design decisions.
 

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of Interaction Designers, Visual Designers, and Engineers and help drive the strategic vision for the design team.

  • Leverage the overall UX process for developing software solutions.

  • Facilitate cross-discipline ideation sessions and workshops

  • Quickly iterate on multiple interactive design solutions and work through details.

  • Design information architecture for complex systems.

  • Develop high-level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups, prototypes, and wireframes to effectively communicate ideas.

  • Design accessible digital software products.

  • Work remotely alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycle.

  • Present design work to multiple teams and senior leadership for review and feedback.

  • Advocate for your design solutions by putting them in the context of business and user goals.

  • High comfort level in working within a self-directed culture and navigating ambiguity. 

  • A strong point of view with a healthy dose of humility.

Qualifications

  • Have a strong background in interaction design and systems thinking with the ability to build, maintain and manage complex consumer-facing experiences. 

  • Deep expertise in user-centered design principles

  • In-depth experience with desktop and mobile application design.

  • Experience using best practices for desktop and mobile information architecture and design, as well as knowledge of usability principles and techniques.

  • Skilled in creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.

  • Knowledge of accessibility-related guidelines and standards including WCAG.

  • Demonstrate the ability to design polished user interfaces and interactions. 

  • Have a great taste and a solid understanding of color, typography, motion, and visual hierarchy.

  • Experience in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Abstract, Sketch & Figma

  • Basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS or equivalent technologies.

  • Great written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for the implementation of designs.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • A passion for Logitech, its products, and its customers.
