Job Summary
The UX Designer focuses on creating intuitive flows for individual digital and non-digital marketing assets. Their primary concern is making assets usable, accessible, and enjoyable (i.e., “elegant”) for their end-users. The UX Designer will be making decisions about how the individual assets are structured and keep an eye on how they evolve throughout the design process, often collaborating, advising and guiding creative designers. The UX Designer will also be expected to bring new and fresh ideas to the company, experiment with new technology, and share user experience thinking with Calcium as a whole.
Key Job Responsibilities (Duties may include, but are not limited to all or some of the following)
o Produce UX/UI solutions both within a team setting and working independently
o Concept and design development-ready user interface prototypes and mockups.
o Identify design problems in existing properties and devise elegant solutions.
o Create interaction design and information architecture of digital artifacts
o Partner with creative team to insure alignment between creative and UX/UI
o Be an advocate for great design practice and adoption of new technologies
o Present your work to internal stakeholders and Calcium clients
Requirements
Job Qualifications (Skills/Requirements)
o 3+ years experience in UX design / front-end development in a fast-paced agency environment (pharmaceutical marketing experience a plus)
o Demonstrable expertise in interactive prototyping and wireframing
o Proficiency in at least one rapid prototyping tool, one wireframing tool, and Adobe CS apps.
o Experience with HTML5/CSS3/JS/responsive web design
o Experience working in Agile methodology
o Experience in using UI design best practices and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
o A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns, including familiarity with WCAG and Section 508.
o Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
o Willingness to help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them.
