Over the years Keyrock has become a company that is both idealistic and practical.

We are looking for:

User Experience (UX) or Product Interaction Designer (IxD) at Keyrock who will be concerned with discovering and comprehending the value & impact of product features, changes, and updates, and designing high-value, low-effort, appropriate, interaction (not always, a UI), for internal users and external clients, to communicate immediate and historical trading information.

Job description

They collaborate with Product Managers (PMs) and Web/UI developers across the business towards interaction design of identified, prioritized, features and changes of an internal product platform currently in production, and of new products in development. They maintain a holistic mindset with regards to touch points and impact of product features & changes on all users, including those that may never directly see a UI. With this in mind, the UX/IxD maintains a dialogue with Commercial teams about the touch points for external clients, with Keyrock.

UX/Product Designers have the ability to prototype and demo interaction technology, and regularly spend time user testing proposed and existing ideas, including those already in production, to develop a deep understanding of users’ technology interaction needs. Keyrock’s context requires a focus on interaction design as a priority over visual or aesthetic design, due to the depth, speed, and reliability of information required by users.

The measure of success of the UX Designer is the quality of the reported user experience - predominantly from internal trading and quantitative research teams but also with consideration for external client use in the future.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and prototype user experience features as required for prioritised product objectives

  • Continuously test usability, and validate and manage existing user experience designs and assets

  • Contribute to the production of graphics or designs across the business where needed, when required with relevance to user interaction with Keyrock

  • Collaborate with PMs and Web developers towards ensuring the correct development of designs

  • Continuous look for opportunities to improve user experience in all areas of the business

Background and experience

  • Academic qualification in Computer Science/Interaction Design/User Experience Design, or equivalent experience working with frontend technology that demonstrates a deep understanding of the technological and user context.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a remote-work context, with consideration for the amount of communication and user-testing required in the role.

  • Experience with Sketch, Figma, or similar applications for UI design

  • Demonstrable experience prototyping or wireframing interfaces (a portfolio)

  • Knowledge of typography, theoretical response time-limits, and accessibility considerations

  • Experience of designing for human considerations such as cognitive load

Competences and personality

  • Process-oriented

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Capacity to synthesize and organize information

  • Problem-solving ability and capacity to anticipate future problems

  • Willingness to challenge the product

  • Languages: fluent in English (oral & written)
