Your Role

As a UI/UX Designer II, your role will involve designing the visual aesthetics, layout, user experience, and functionality of the websites, applications, and platforms we develop. You will be responsible for both creating new websites and enhancing our existing web experiences. Working closely with our creative directors, product marketing managers, strategists, and other members of the design team, you will collaborate to develop brand design systems, analytics tools, and marketing websites. Your contributions will play a vital role in shaping the overall design and user experience of our digital products.

 

A Day in the Life

  • Generate original and user-friendly website design ideas for complex challenges.
  • Collaborate with product marketing managers, creative directors, and designers to understand project requirements, user needs, and business goals.
  • Develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to communicate design concepts and interactions.
  • Design high-fidelity and responsive UI mockups and interactive prototypes.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems for consistent and efficient design implementation.
  • Present and defend designs and deliverables to peers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with developers, providing design assets and specifications for smooth implementation.
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality UI/UX design across platforms, devices, and screen sizes.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools to enhance design processes and deliver innovative user experiences.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs.
  • Explore HTML5, CSS3, and other cutting-edge technologies for continuous learning and growth in design expertise.


What You Need

  • Design educational background is preferred, but we are open to a variety of backgrounds as long as you can demonstrate qualifications with your portfolio.
  • Preferably 3-6 years of professional web design experience.
  • Experience in designing and building websites/products and features on mobile and web. 
  • Excellent UI and UX design skills and a passion for people-centered design.
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
  • Complete understanding of branding, design system, and style guides.
  • Up-to-date with the latest web trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • Basic understanding of front-end development.
  • An eye for composition, color, and typography.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An ability to tell compelling stories about your designs and present your work with confidence.
  • Must have strong skills in tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite, InvisionApp, or equivalent application(s).
  • Key skills: UI/UX Design, Process, Data-driven, Wireframing, Portfolio walkthrough, Team Bonding, Mentorship, Ownership, Product Thinking, Cross-Functional Work
  • Good understanding of the latest design principles and user interface practices.
  • Good understanding of content management systems.
  • Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
  • Taste for good (and bad) designs.
  • Solid intuition and strong passion for detailed interaction design.
  • Ability to work in a team, communicate well, stick to deadlines, and deliver as promised.
  • Desire and ability to think like the end-user.
  • Knowledge of content marketing is a plus.
  • You enjoy the process of design, rather do so just to get a paycheck.
  • Familiarity with design principles, user interface, and interaction practices.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Multimedia and Web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS/Python).
  • Able to write good, clean markup. Strive for browser-compatibility
