Siteimprove is looking for an experienced UX/UI design manager to work as a strategic partner on our ever-growing website and key marketing initiatives. Our ideal candidate is passionate about developing a better user interface using insights from real people. They have the proven skills and experience to turn these insights into beautifully designed websites (interactions and visuals) and to inspire our teams through prototypes and demonstrations before building final products.
 
The UX Design Manager will operate in a high-performance, principle-based culture, that is accountable, repeatable, and scalable. The primary responsibility of this role is to be the strategic lead for all aspects of UX on and providing a measurable, repeatable user experience across all Siteimprove digital properties to ensure we are consistently delivering an experience that will delight our customers and elevate our brand.  
 
Reporting to the VP of Brand Marketing, the UX Design Manager will work collaboratively with other marketing, communications, and senior staff members to build effective websites and digital experiences.

What you will be doing

    • UX/UI Strategy & Execution
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product owners, and software & vehicle engineering teams, to align UX/UI strategies with overall brand goals and delivery of final products.
    • Develop a comprehensive UX/UI strategy that enhances the brand's identity, values, and user engagement across digital touchpoints.
    • Implement UX/UI strategy by researching, analyzing, visualizing, and prototyping ideas from low fidelity to high fidelity and other artifacts with accessibility in mind.
    • Set up key benchmarks and report on UX journey mapping across a wide range of personas, use cases, and buyers.
    • Continuously improving and taking others along progressive thinking and pushing boundaries of the user experience across digital and physical experiences.
    • User-Centric Design
    • Define and maintain user personas, journey maps, and user flows to drive user-centered design decisions.
    • Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
    • Translate insights from user research into actionable design enhancements that enhance the overall user experience.
    • Brand Consistency
    • Ensure the consistency and integrity of the brand's visual identity and messaging across all digital platforms.
    • Collaborate with the brand team to ensure that design elements and creative assets align with the brand's guidelines and messaging.
    • Project Management
    • Lead design projects from conception to execution, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to simultaneously meet multiple project goals and deadlines.
    • Collaborate with external agencies or freelancers when necessary, ensuring the quality and consistency of design work.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What we will require of you

    • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.  
    • 5+ years’ of experience in UX/UI design, with a significant portion focused on brand marketing. SaaS experience is a plus.
    • Proven track record of managing projects and delivering impactful digital experiences.
    • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Miro, or similar.
    • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end development concepts is a plus.
    • Demonstrable experience launching successful web products.
    • You are tirelessly learning to become an expert in the product and market including specific technical or industry knowledge.
    • You are adept at managing and maintaining relationships between multifunctional team members.
    • Travel as needed.

$87,500 - $110,000 a year
Base pay will depend on the position, individual qualifications, market, and other operational business needs.
