About the Agency

A leading customer relationship agency. We are obsessed with helping brands grow meaningful relationships with people using the power of creativity, the beauty of data, and the magic of technology.

We are part of the MRM Worldwide network, with 30 offices in 23 countries. Our clients include many globally recognised brands. MRM Worldwide is, in turn, part of McCann Worldgroup, meaning we have all the benefits of being part of a world-class network while retaining the culture and entrepreneurial spirit of a smaller agency.

About the role

Following a recent period of wins for the agency and a maturing of the Customer Experience team we are looking to reinforce our UX discipline with a new Senior Experience Designer to create exciting client work, win business for the agency, and help the team thrive.

Our small but effective CX department that has been built over the last 3 years to become a capable discipline within an agency with credibility not just in the region but also globally. Our vision is to grow the offering and team to solidify our presence and this role will be pivotal to that success. The team currently solves challenges across the four pillars of the department; Audience Understanding & Insights, CX Strategy, Experience Design and CX Measurement.

We now require a Sr. Experience Designer to own the operational side of UX projects and help further embed our DesignOps approach to the way we function as a team. Reporting to the CX Director, the candidate will also help to grow the discipline and promote human-centric design throughout the agency.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own overall end-to-end user experience - from the big picture (owning the overall user experience and consistency across an entire product) down to specifics of UI layout for a feature or service flow.
  • Identify and evaluate potential opportunities to improve existing web, apps, mobile and interactive designs.
  • Conduct user research, run feature testing, and incorporate findings into design iterations.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, walkthroughs and prototypes to communicate your design to the rest of the team.
  • Develop detailed wireframes, user flows, mockups, and other product deliverables to effectively communicate designs and product requirements.
  • Envision and develop intuitive, scalable, and engaging interactions and experience designs for multiple platforms (web and mobile)
  • Work seamlessly with UI Designers to develop aesthetics and maintain standards.

The role is predominantly focused on the research, strategy and definition of digital experiences and your CV and portfolio MUST demonstrate your process and thinking rather than any pretty UI.

Key candidate qualifications and attributes

Candidates will be expected to:

  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years of agency experience in a UX role, and be able to show a portfolio of sketches, maps, diagrams, journeys and wireframes.
  • Possess excellent knowledge and demonstrable experience of various UX approaches, documentation and research techniques.
  • Demonstrate a passion for UX and digital product development, with a good awareness of emerging trends/technologies impacting our industry.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of Axure, Figma, Balsamiq, Sketch or other tools for the creation of high-functioning lo-fi prototypes.
  • Display a proven track record of leading large-scale projects in a collaborative manner.
  • Be able to manage their time efficiently, and balance work across multiple projects.
  • Have experience of designing multi-channel digital experiences
  • Experience with conversion rate optimisation projects, including A/B or multivariate testing is a plus.

You should be:

  • Based in United Arab Emirates, or be willing to relocate
  • Willing to work primarily in the office although we do offer the opportunity to work from home one day per week
  • Able to focus on the fine detail of a problem, whilst considering the wider strategic context
  • An effective communicator, able to visually and verbally communicate your ideas to clients and colleagues alike.
  • Able to work well in a cross-functional team and play nicely with account teams, analysts, and others throughout the agency and wider network.

It would also be a bonus if you:

  • Were a native Arabic speaker (although not essential)
  • Have any experience of applied behavioural science frameworks and models.
  • Have any UI design experience.

Our culture and values

  • Curiosity – we employ people who are naturally curious about business, consumers and the world around them. We take an interest in human behaviour and the ways in which technology can work for businesses and brands.
  • Collaboration – we have a culture of mutual respect and we genuinely believe that good ideas come from anywhere and recognise that a great team is made up of diverse personalities with differing strengths and beliefs.
  • Commerciality – it is everyone’s responsibility to create value for the agency and our clients alike. We appreciate strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Can-do – we want our teams to stay positive, seize opportunities and persevere to find solutions.
  • Creativity – we ask our teams to always try and see the world from different perspectives, to be able to step away from the everyday view, and take inspiration from elsewhere to come up with ideas, solutions and new ways of doing things.
