The Opportunity

Join our dynamic technology team as a UX/UI Designer and help shape the next generation of our clean energy technology through exceptional design!

You will play a pivotal role in creating visually appealing and user-centered interfaces for our SCADA system solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams of engineers and product managers to design seamless and engaging user experiences tat empower individuals and organizations to embrace clean energy alternatives.

The Team

You will report to our Senior Engineering Manager and work with a distributed team of 20-30 software engineers, test engineers, and partner engineers in the US and offshore. 

The Environment

This role can be successfully performed in Office-Based, Home-Based (US only), or Flex-Based work locations.  You will work in a controlled office environment or from your Home-Based worksite, as well as virtually with your team members.

Your Key Contributions

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, software engineers, and management to design and implement intuitive, user-centered UI/UX solutions for our software platform.
  • Conduct user research to understand user needs, pain points, and behavior patterns, translating findings into actionable design insights.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to illustrate design concepts and interactions, iterating based on feedback and usability testing.
  • Design and maintain a consistent design language, style guides, and UI components library to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly interface across the platform.
  • Apply best practices in information architecture, interaction design, and visual design to create compelling and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs, providing necessary assets and guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools, and advocate for their integration into the design process.

Traits for Success

  • Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, interaction design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a UI/UX designer or similar role.
  • Advanced skills in User Centric Design methodologies and creating mock-ups and prototypes at varying levels of fidelity.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or equivalent.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design skills, including wireframes, prototypes, and visual design for complex applications.
  • Experience with responsive design and designing for various platforms (Desktop, Web, Tablet, and Mobile).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present design concepts and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience in front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Pay Transparency

This announcement is open to all levels.  The base pay range for this position is $85,000-$105,000 per year. This is an overtime Exempt position.  Compensation is based on market rate, job level, job related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and certifications.  This is a Full Time opportunity.
