OVERVIEW
As an UX Design Manager you are organized, care about the details, and have a strong intellectual curiosity. You strive to transform complex tasks into delightful and effortless experiences for our users. You understand that achieving great design is a team effort and requires collaboration with cross functional partners. You are willing to show your work early and often because you believe showing is more important than telling.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

    • The following is a non-exhaustive list of responsibilities and areas of ownership of the UX Manager:
    • Build, lead and enable a high performing collaborative UX design team across Interaction, Visual, and Conversational design expertises.
    • Lead overall UX strategy, UI pattern library (design & governance), and interaction design to deliver frictionless experiences for all aspects of Welocalize’s business
    • Own the overall UX vision, UI specs, wire-frames and prototypes
    • Inspire and mentor the team, champion their work, and create a remarkable experience for workmates.
    • Critique design work and provide insightful feedback
    • Lead the product design team through the whole product experience lifecycle, from problem identification, to ideation, implementation of strategy, and design updates
    • Lead a team of designers as well as manage external partners as it relates to the user experience
    • Define and develop actionable processes utilized by the UX team
    • Partner with Stakeholders, Product Managers, and Tech leads to identify critical user needs, challenges, and insights and implement findings into UX solutions
    • Scope and schedule work to balance workload across the team
    • Build lasting relationships with other managers and leaders across the organization
    • Take an active role in career planning and the development of the team

REQUIREMENTS

    • Education Level
    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a college or university preferably in Design, HCI, Human Factors Design Strategy, , or equivalent combination of education and experience in the related field.
    • Experience
    • 5 years of experience as a UX Designer with at least 2 years leading teams
    • Portfolio of high quality UX deliverables (presentations, site maps, wireframes, etc.)
    • Proven success working on concept, interface, and experiences
    • Strong knowledge of task and use-case analysis and user personas
    • Experience participating and conducting usability testing as well as documentation and presentation of testing results including gathering and documenting business, interaction and functional requirements.
    • Proven experience in A/B and multivariate testing
    • Experience in using tools for: creative, rapid prototyping, web architecture, presentation, web analytics, etc.

    • Expert and applied knowledge of user-centered design principles and research methods
    • Ability to present work and findings to key stakeholders
    • Ability and passion to solve problems collaboratively with a small team, but also able to execute independently and make strong recommendations
    • Initiative, a good sense of prioritization and collaborative in approach
    • Excellent critical thinking, logic, and analytical skills are a must
    • Resourceful self-starter who takes action and responds quickly to change with a positive attitude
    • Ability to partner effectively with all stakeholders; i.e. technical developers, business leaders, and users
    • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
    • Manages multiple priorities and meets deadlines
    • Strong communication skills
