ABOUT QUELL.

Quell is on a mission to make fitness gaming incredible. Our launch title lets you get fit fighting, running, leaping and dodging your way through an unforgettable fantasy world. We’ve built a game-changing wearable console which adds resistance, powerful haptics and motion tracking to the player’s actions without the need for a VR set-up. 

The market is massive; our pre-launch marketing has already generated $1.5m in preorder revenue. We’ve secured over $15m in funding from top-tier VCs and angels, including Khosla Ventures and the founders of Twitch.

YOUR MISSION.

• Work directly with the Directorship to develop our UI style, for current and future games.

• Create game-ready content and implement assets in-engine.

• Use best in class examples to drive our UI to new heights.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Create game-ready UI, with best practice processes.

• Create compelling static and animated UI assets.

• Implement UI assets and animations in Unity.

• Work with programmers and designers to create functional solutions to technical challenges.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR. 

• Portfolio demonstrating expertise in UI art for real-time games.

• Expertise in creating optimised content for PC games.

• Able to effectively communicate workflow and pipeline needs to other team members.

• Able to respond positively to feedback and adapt and refine work accordingly.

• Able to accurately estimate and follow through on work deadlines.

• 3+ years’ experience working in the games industry in a UI artist role.

EXTRA CREDIT.

• Experience working in start-ups and/or small teams.

• Experience working on 1st person RPG and fighting games.

• Experience with art theory and fundamentals.

• A love for stylised art and gaming.

• An interest in fitness, of any kind.
