UX/UI Designer

The UX/UI Designer 2 will gather user requirements, design graphic elements, and build navigation components for our AlphaInformatiX software products.  The UX/UI Designer 2 will create new, or improve existing user experiences, and identify new opportunities for our AlphaInformatiX software products.  They will develop the functioning of the visual elements to ensure that the end-to-end journey with our products meet desired outcomes.  As well, they will design graphical UI elements, and develop UI mockups and prototypes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
• Perform task estimation and develop projects according to project plan
• Provide proactive, transparent, and concise communication on project status
• Collaborate and work effectively with globally distributed teams

• Working experience as a UI/UX Designer or in a comparable function is required
• Professional experience with UI design applications (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, and Sketch)
• Professional experience with web-based UI design collaboration tools (e.g., Zeplin)
• Professional experience with graphics editor applications (e.g., Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop)
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent time management abilities
• Strong sense of teamwork
• Experience with responsive web design
• A great speaker who will know how to present insights, ideas, and concepts to clients and the team
• Creative and resourceful problem solver with ability to take the big picture into account

Education and Experience

• 2+ years of UX/UI Design experience is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or related field preferred
• Experience in regulated industries preferred

Salary Range

Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $105,000 to $118,000 Full-Time Annual Salary
