About the Job:

We’re looking for a Lead UX/UI Designer to bring a diverse toolset to help design excellent digital experiences for users while understanding how to work with cross functional teams to get it done. We are looking for someone with experience working collaboratively across multiple business functions and particularly skilled in working with marketing, product and development teams. The Senior UX/UI Designer is responsible for driving a user centered approach to creating a world class digital experience for Taco Bell users across multiple channels. Some projects include: enhancing the user ordering experience, designing an omnichannel loyalty experience, engaging the customer with cultural and lifestyle elements, helping create and maintain a design system, creating a connected experience, driving user research. This role reports to the Digital Product Creative Director.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Own or lead significant work streams with focus on producing fresh, innovative work (wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps prototypes, and other design artifacts) that translates complex ideas into compelling digital experiences for sophisticated audiences
  • Design and validate experiences tailored to support digital users throughout their journey with Taco Bell, enabling them to achieve their goals and encouraging them to build loyalty with the brand and work cross functionally to create and test UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links and widgets for our digital assets
  • Demonstrate knowledge and a wide breadth of experience with UX principles, user-centered product development methodologies, design thinking and tech forward approaches to design
  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional peers and partners, and internal and external designers to develop and maintain an ideal user experience. Work closely with product and engineering leads to support the entire UX lifecycle from discovery through product delivery and to craft consistent and connected user experiences across Taco Bell’s digital products to realize the short and long term product vision
  • Drive and augment the wider UX team culture through leading UX Critiques, Workshops, Sprints, ideation and co-creation sessions, team building as we evolve our process and practice.
  • Orchestrate the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyze and predict user behavior and approach design challenges holistically, considering all parts of the experience including UI/UX, business, tech and legal requirements
  • Lead the conceptualization and creation of end-to-end designs for products and features efficiently and beautifully Iterate on existing products and features to ensure that we are delivering simple industry-leading user experience

Is This You?

  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years combined experience in UI/UX design and front end development experience for digital products or services and a portfolio of professional work for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Working knowledge of design technologies and software including but not limited to: Figma, Sketch, InVision, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android, Design Systems, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to balance technical constraints, business requirements, and marketing considerations and a strong knowledge and understanding of how to optimize the user experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • A team player but can work independently too with experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience utilizing research and applying insights to design work

Salary Range: ­­$115,100 - $163,790 annually + bonus eligibility + equity (if applicable) + benefits
