Description

The Senior UI/UX Designer is responsible for designing the UI/UX for our enterprise-wide electronic health record system.  As CliniComp designs its next wave of healthcare technology solutions, the Senior UI/UX Designer will play a key role to ensure that health care clients have an optimal experience with our systems. They will have a demonstrated track record of designing innovative web-based applications through conducting user research, creating UX and visual design documents, building prototypes, and overseeing their execution all the way through production. The Senior UI/UX Designer will work to improve the user experience and user interface of our existing product and new product offerings.

Responsiblities:

  • Work with product owners, subject matter experts, and developers to create intuitive clinical software solutions.
  • Leverage novel ideas, design patterns, and industry best practices to optimize the UI/UX of the company’s new and existing products.
  • Drive the end-to-end design process utilizing UX research, wireframes, prototypes, usability testing, and detailed documentation.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior designers, and providing feedback and direction on their work.
  • Contribute a team culture that revolves around accountability, humility, and continuous learning.
  • Lead and/or support creative workshops sought at generating and prioritizing solutions to clinical workflows.
  • Participate in establishing the product direction, strategy, visuals, and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain design systems including component libraries, style guides, and UIUX product specifications.
  • Speak with consultants and end-users to develop a solid understanding of clinical needs and apply them to designs.
  • Identify problems, determine usability, and make sound recommendations for improvements.
  • Translate high level clinical requirements into written functional requirements and design documentation.
  • Understand, empathize with, and advocate for end users.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Engineering Team to ensure the developed product matches UI/UX guidelines.
  • Research current interaction design trends; including mobile interfaces, touch base interfaces, speech interfaces, and emerging XR technologies.

Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in interaction design, computer science, graphic design, or a related field. 
  • 4-7 years relevant work experience.
  • Experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, and business teams throughout the product development life-cycle to iterate on and deliver a user experience that is of the highest standard.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools.
  • Understanding of Material UI (MUI) and React libraries.
  • Experience with user research and user testing.
  • Experience in agile development process. CliniComp is a practitioner of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Knowledge of WCAG/Aria standards, components, design patterns, as well as their behaviors, constraints, and rules.

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to clear a background check upon hire.

Benefits

The base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000 - $148,000

CliniComp's salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, location and relevant education or training.
