These systems currently serve as the backbone for all client engagements, candidate relationships, internal collaboration, and proprietary data in the firm. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a remote UX design role which will be part of our overall team based in Chicago, IL. The User experience designer will be a noted contributor to the area of design, with proven skills in designing interfaces within SaaS and customized portal solutions. The UX Designer will continually stay abreast of the developments in the field of design and recommend future advances and considerations the team may need to consider. The role will call for significant skills in communication and diplomacy to guide, influence, and convince colleagues within the UX team and ultimately the firm itself. The scope of the style guidelines laid down will impact every portal and site that is built and edited across the organization.

 

The UX Designer will play a critical role across all phases of the effort:

  • Successfully work with remote teams
  • Taking existing complex UI/UX flows & processes and solving for a more simplified and elegant experience
  • Work together with the Director of User Experience to define and achieve milestones and objectives
  • Be highly proficient in Figma
  • Highly detail-orientated, with a focus on application continuity across multiple platforms
  • Understand the underlying business objectives, and user needs, and together with the overall UX team- define UX goal scopes, and plan design activities for a project, end to end.
  • Create wireframes and clickable prototypes to provide direction to designers and developers.
  • Work with developers to ensure adherence to UI/UX solutions, workflows, and interface functionality.
  • Influence, convince, and persuade colleagues to embrace proposed solutions
  • Drive necessary business impact by being part of the product design, testing/piloting, and market launch efforts
  • Pre-empt UX issues and problems by ensuring the business implications of the products are identified and resolved before the launch of the product.
  • Be familiar with, understand, and be willing to implement Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) fundamentals to deliver acceptable creative designs
  • Challenge the current thinking on design standards as they exist in the org and constantly look for improvement.
  • Continually drive innovation in thinking and delivery to benefit the increased usage and adoption of the product.
  • Analyze performance data to identify opportunities to improve user experiences, increase conversion, and optimize efficiencies
  • Be willing to and, where necessary, partner with teams doing analytics, research and technology to ensure business objectives are being met

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related UX field
  • At least five (5) years of experience in UX design or digital experience design
  • Be highly proficient in Figma
  • Experience delivering within an Agile/Kanban methodology
  • Interactive agency or consulting experience preferred
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing, tracking details, and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Experience interacting with UX teams, business owners, and/or technical teams
  • Experience participating in usability testing and quality assurance
  • Experience participating in, and defining, user experience processes including identifying best practices
  • Thorough subject matter knowledge and expertise in UI/UX principles
  • Certifications to validate said UX knowledge will be an added advantage
  • Ability to recommend within a team setting appropriate solutions for products or UX solution
  • Can utilize best UX practices to inspire continuity across functional teams
