About the job: We are looking for a mid-to-senior-level UX Researcher with a strong interest in entertainment, music, and idols to join our Product Development team. Our mission is to keep KKBOX the leading music streaming platform in the Chinese-speaking world by deeply understanding market trends and user needs. As a UX Researcher within the Product Department, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data analysts, marketing, and business development teams. You will leverage qualitative and quantitative research methods, as well as data-driven insights, to uncover market and user needs. Your findings will directly inform product and go-to-market (GTM) strategies, ultimately driving greater impact for KKBOX in the marketplace.

Responsibilities:

    • Lead end-to-end research initiatives: Drive high-impact research projects, ensuring alignment with stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for their objectives.
    • Initiate and guide research efforts: Proactively develop research strategies that support both medium- and long-term Product Vertical goals, grounded in a deep understanding of the business landscape.
    • Collaborate and lead cross-functional projects: Take charge of research projects that require collaboration with various stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration of insights across teams.
    • Evaluate and mentor on research methodologies: Assess the strengths and limitations of different research methodologies, and provide guidance and mentorship to ensure the use of best practices and high-quality execution.

Requirements:

    • Educational Background or Professional Experience: You hold a degree in psychology, human-computer interaction, or a related field, and/or possess relevant professional experience in the field.
    • Extensive User Research Experience: You bring a solid background in user research, with deep expertise in exploratory qualitative research to uncover user needs and challenges, and/or proficiency in workflow and task analysis.
    • Research Proficiency: You excel at planning, prioritizing, conducting, analyzing, and communicating research findings across diverse contexts and environments.
    • Methodological Expertise: You are well-versed in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, with the ability to integrate quantitative data insights with qualitative findings.
    • User-Centered Advocacy: You are a strong proponent of a user-centered, evidence-driven approach to product development, while also skillfully balancing business objectives.
