This role is part of our Personalized Creative team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalized, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behavior's, and shift market share for our clients including eBay, Ancestry, Walmart, and more!
Our Toronto team requires a mid level UX Designer who has a passion for laying down the directing the structure and user experience of wide-scale email template platforms. You’ll get to work alongside a team of developers and engineers as well as users understanding the needs of the system whilst defining the user journeys for the engineering teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct user research, gather feedback, and analyse data to understand needs and pain points, driving data-informed design decisions.
- Gather and analyse data from user interviews, surveys, feedback sessions, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that enhance the template creation experience, focusing on usability, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Design user-friendly interfaces that enable customers to easily create, edit, and manage email templates with a focus on accessibility and responsive design.
- Work closely with product, development, and marketing teams to align on requirements, prioritise features, and ensure design quality and feasibility.
- Participate in regular sprint reviews, design critiques, and collaborative brainstorming sessions to refine and validate UX concepts and designs.
- Lead usability testing and A/B testing to validate designs, iterating on features based on user feedback and key metrics.
- Continuously improve design elements based on real-time feedback, ensuring that the email template product evolves to meet customer needs.
- Create and uphold a design system for UI consistency, efficiency, and brand alignment.
- Ensure design consistency across the product, creating guidelines that support a cohesive and recognizable brand experience for users.
- Apply accessibility best practices (WCAG), ensuring usability for all customers, and advocate for inclusive design.
- Advocate for accessibility within the team, helping to educate others and integrate inclusive design principles into the platform.
- Stay informed on UX, design, and email marketing trends to propose innovative enhancements.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present your ideas and work to clients and stakeholders.
- Solid UX / CX design & research experience, able to take responsibility and help drive projects forward from a design perspective.
- Ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative data to provide insights to inform design decisions.
- Planning and delivering workshops with clients or stakeholders.
- Usability testing of work.
- Collaboration with team members across disciplines such as PM’s, developers, UX writers and content designers.
- Understanding of measures such as Net Promoter Score (NPS), System Usability Score (SUS), Customer Satisfaction (C-SAT or O-SAT)
- E-commerce work including optimising customer journeys for conversion.
- Comprehensive knowledge of interaction design and how to communicate it using wireframes and prototypes.
- An understanding of design systems.
NON-ESSENTIAL BUT NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE
- Working in an agile environment.
- Any basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
