Role overview

At CarOffer, we are committed to disrupting the automotive industry with our innovative software solutions. We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to support the development team and work under the Creative Director to assist with software and mobile application design needs. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a hyper-growth environment where speed and flexibility is part of the day-to-day.

What you'll do

Work with the Creative Director, product, project management, and development team to get design specifications and requirements to be correct.
Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions, focusing on the user journey.
Understand and translate product requirements into intuitive user experiences.
Adhere to design system and style standards on fonts, colors, etc.
Maintaining consistent style across designs.
Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and site maps.
Solid ability to create visual solutions to solve operational, consumer, and client problems.
Demonstrated ability to visualize data to create dashboards and UI layouts.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to make trade-offs when conditions change.
Assist with the creation and editing of UI software/mobile application designs.
Ensure developed web and software designs are visually accurate.
Conduct layout and content adjustments based on feedback.
Improve existing software functionality and interfaces.
A firm understanding of the creative process, and how to abbreviate that process for tight deadlines.
Passing over UI comps to the development team.
Working with the team on collaborating unique and user-friendly design concepts.
Following timelines and completing assignments on the deadline.

What you'll bring

Bachelor's Degree (BFA) in Interactive or Graphic Design or related field.
3+ years of UI/UX experience.
Up-to-date knowledge of Adobe CC, Miro, Zeplin, Sketch and/or Figma within a Mac environment.
Preferred qualifications include mobile application development, automotive industry experience, and proficiency in using Jira.
Strong attention to detail, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and a proactive, independent working style.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively present and articulate design decisions.
Self-sufficient, takes initiative, and is able to quickly re-prioritize workload with a strong desire to learn and grow as a designer.

Summary

Securonix is looking for an accomplished UX leader, experienced at mentoring and coaching

designers, to lead and grow our strategic user experience practice. You’ll lead a team of product

designers and researcher to craft an intuitive and delightful user experience for our enterprise

security customers. You'll use human-centered design methodologies to identify customer needs

and opportunities; and create a compelling vision for our product. The ideal candidate will be

someone who is passionate, wants to design solutions for cyber security and Security Operations

Centers, with extensive experience designing elegant and simple solutions to highly technical

problems. As a Director of UX you’ll have a significant impact on the growth of our business through

providing world class UX design to our growing product portfolio.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow the UX practice including driving roadmap, headcount planning, and processes/practices ensuring the design team is optimally aligned to achieve our business results.
Balance tactical execution with a clear product design vision that brings measurable user value.
Collaborate with and influence leaders in R&D, and business stakeholders to ensure that design objectives and priorities are aligned with goals to maximize impact and user value.
Reinforce a design-thinking culture that leverages the best product, technology, and innovative talent.
Recruit best-in-class talent to grow the practice.

Qualifications

A track record of designing high-quality digital enterprise products as a leader and the ability to craft an overall vision to guide the team.
7+ years of experience in multiple design disciplines (UX, UI, design systems, prototyping).
Deep, modern understanding of design specializations (product design, user research, service design).
Able to take business strategy and customer research insights and transform them into detailed plan and roadmap that delivers business results.
Ability to build a UX practice growth plan and budget.
A track record of growing and mentoring staff in a broad range of design skills and processes.
Demonstrates executive-level presentation and communication skills for audiences inside and outside the design team.
Experience with Lean UX in an Agile environment and rapid / prototyping techniques.
A passionate advocate for the customer, who never loses sight of the big picture.
An authentic, empathetic, and inspiring leader, dedicated to the growth and success of people.
Bachelor’s or master’s preferred in graphic design, HCI, UX, a related area of study, or equivalent work experience.
