What You’ll Do:   

Nexxen is seeking an experienced UX/UI Product Designer to play a critical role in the conception, design, and innovation of our portfolio of our programmatic platform user interfaces using thoughtful interaction architecture and user-centric design. This person will be the designer in our product experience department and will develop the user interfaces and experience for our supply-side and demand-side programmatic platforms, including the launch of new features, improving ease of use, perception, and efficiency in performing tasks for internal and external customers. The UX/ UI Product Designer must be able to interface directly with customers, build productive working relationships with other designers, Product Managers, and the Engineering team, along with other key departments across the company, and excel at cross-functional collaboration and communication.  

This role will be based in the New York office. Our team follows a hybrid schedule working in-office two days a week and remotely for the rest.  

Each day can be different here at Nexxen, but some of the things you can expect to be doing daily are: 

Responsible for UX/ UI aspects of product development production and will drive to completion the following three phases: 

Discovery: 

  • Requirements gathering through meetings with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Research on similar solutions available in the market
  • Create user flow diagrams/charts, site maps utilizing Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Adobe After Effects for Lottie Animations, and/or similar design/mock-up tools 

Concept & Design: 

  • Unify the usability requirements, mandatory UI components and features, back-end data requirements, and the creative brand vision into polished, high-fidelity platform designs. 
  • Present designs to internal stakeholders for approval and ensure designers and engineers review the UI relationship to the backend and confirm the ability to implement. 

Production: 

  • Create annotated wireframes for handoff to the product/ engineering team for use as a guide to build pages or widgets. 
  • Review engineering work (Design Audit) to ensure the quality of the user experience post-implementation of the Engineering story.
  • Build effective and functionally sound designs through gathering interaction data, information architecture, user-centered needs, and content strategy.
  • Identify areas of improvement within existing systems and drive processes to enhance experiences.
  • Actively participate in all phases of development through close collaboration with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers, including review meetings, sprint planning, story writing of UI requirements, and quality testing and assurance of the final product/platform. 

What will I bring? 

  • BA in Design, Communication Design, Information Design, Interaction Design, or design-related field. Continued education in UX/UI design-related programs accepted.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in web design, interactive design, and/ or information architecture
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual and graphic skills via intuitive, engaging, and informative UI design.
  • Proficient in conducting various research methods such as competitive/comparative analyses, user surveys, user interviews, usability tests, and A/B testing is desirable.
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and prototyping tools.
  • Fluency in the latest web standards and web technologies.
  • Experience working on B2B SaaS platforms preferred.
  • Experience working in Adtech or Martech is preferred, especially working on customer-focused UIs.

In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full-time annual base salary for this role in New York is $90,000 - $120,000 at the time of posting, with the potential of an incentive or bonus. While this is our reasonable expectation this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
