Description
We are looking for a talented and driven UX Designer to fill a consultant position with our client, where you will play a key role in developing outstanding user experiences. The perfect candidate will possess a strong background in UX design, excellent communication capabilities, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with cross-functional teams. This role demands a blend of technical proficiency, creativity, and business insight to produce user-friendly interfaces for both B2B and B2C platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead UX design efforts, including research, wireframing, prototyping, and final design implementation.
- Apply design principles, usability testing, and user-centred design processes to create seamless user experiences.
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and other team members to deliver user-friendly interfaces.
- Ensure designs are responsive and follow mobile-first design principles.
- Work within Agile development processes and contribute to sprint cycles.
- Present design concepts and articulate decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design.
Requirements
- Proven experience in user experience (UX) design, including research, wireframing, prototyping, and final design implementation.
- Strong understanding of design principles, usability testing, and user-cantered design processes.
- Expertise in UX design tools, particularly Figma.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and B2B processes.
- Familiarity with eCommerce and B2C processes.
- Comfortable working within Agile development processes.
- Strong communication skills to present and explain design concepts to stakeholders.
- Experience with responsive web design and mobile-first principles.
- Familiarity with CMS systems (e.g., Optimizely CMS) and eCommerce platforms.
- Preferred and Desirable Skills:
- Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in UX/UI.
- Experience conducting user research (surveys, interviews, usability testing).
- Understanding of eCommerce UX best practices, including checkout flows, product search, and account management.
- Collaboration experience with development teams for seamless design implementation.
- Background in visual design, including branding, typography, and colour theory.
- Understanding of customer journeys and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and UX’s impact on conversion rates.
- Experience with design handoff tools like Zeplin or Figma.
- Knowledge of SEO and UX’s role in improving site visibility and engagement.
