Responsibilities                     

As a Senior UX Designer in the trucking industry, you will play a pivotal role in shaping user experiences for our suite of digital products and solutions. Your primary focus will be to enhance the usability, functionality, and overall satisfaction of our platforms, which include fleet management systems, driver applications, and logistics tools. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, business stakeholders, and leadership to identify user needs, define project requirements, and deliver intuitive and impactful design solutions. Your expertise in user research, interaction design, and prototyping will be crucial in creating seamless and engaging experiences for our users, ranging from fleet operators and drivers to logistics managers. 
  • Communicate effectively in a collaborative environment that includes Product, Engineering, Executives, and end users. 
  • Work along side our UX researchers to Identify research initiatives to gain deep insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points within the trucking and logistics industry. 
  • Develop and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to address complex user requirements and business goals. 
  • Conduct usability testing and apply feedback to refine design solutions and improve overall user satisfaction.  
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and integration within the existing technology stack. 
  • Advocate for best practices in UX design and stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation. 
  • Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency and coherence across all digital products, facilitating a unified user experience and streamlining design processes. 
  • Analyze and interpret user data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of design solutions, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven design decisions that align with business objectives and user needs.  
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented design environment. 
Qualifications 
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise design with a proven track record of delivering successful projects in complex domains. Experience in the trucking or logistics industry is highly desirable but not mandatory. A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for solving real-world problems will be key to your success in this role. 
  • BA/BS degree in Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related design or behavioral science discipline. Articulating equivalent work experience catches our eye too.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, visual and user interface design skills, and user-centered design principals with an understanding of accessibility and ADA guidelines as it relates to websites and applications. 
  • A portfolio demonstrating experience designing interactions and interfaces. 
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with varying timelines. 
  • A motivated self-starter able to function independently and also in a highly collaborative team environment. 
  • Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Invision and Adobe Creative Cloud. 
  • Be the users advocate.
