About the role

We're looking for someone who loves digging in to a complex user problem, really get to the core of it, and explore solutions without spending days/weeks wireframing and researching. We're looking for a quick and outcome-driven problem solver.

Unlike most designers who specialise in one area, you’re a generalist with a complete toolkit: crafting excellent user experiences, elegant user interfaces, and translating scrappy ideas into working prototypes to test your ideas.

As our second design hire, you’ll co-own the full product experience, collaborating closely with engineering, machine learning and our users as we build something that fundamentally changes the way tax professionals work. Less than a year ago, they said it was impossible.

Our product and engineering team is based in Stockholm. We’re prioritising local candidates, but will consider candidates from elsewhere in the EU, who can travel to Stockholm.

This job isn’t for everyone - that’s the point

• If you’re looking for a role where you need full clarity, weeks of discovery or research, before making a decision - this probably isn’t the right fit.

• We move fast, week to week. Sometimes we ship the wrong thing. Often, we ship the right thing. Either way, we learn fast and keep building.

• When you take an extra few days to refine a flow or tweak in Figma, there might already be a team blocked behind you. That’s the pace.

• There are no lone wolves here - you must be highly collaborative.

You’ll be a strong fit if you

• Have worked at an early-stage startup and love the energy, ambiguity and ownership it brings

• Have front-end knowledge to build prototypes to validate your ideas quickly (at Filed, we're using Lovable)

• Have a strong problem-solving mindset, and can navigate messy, evolving problem spaces

• Know how to collaborate closely with engineers, from shaping the problem to shipping the solution

• Love speaking with users - we chat with them weekly

• You own your work, and the accountability that come with it.

Your skillset

• Have a passion for crafting amazing UX, UI and interaction solutions

• Detail-oriented but pragmatic mindset, knowing where and when polish matters

• Strong understanding of A11y accessibility

• You've embraced AI tools to speed up your workflow. We’re using tools like Lovable to test our ideas as quickly as possible.

• Have 3+ years experience shipping impactful products

We expect you to have a portfolio showcasing successful products you’ve shipped.

Growth and Levels

We operate on six levels, from Level 1 to Level 6. Each reflects increasing ownership, impact, and scope with meaningful jumps in salary and equity.

We review levels every 4 months. Promotions are based on output and ownership, not tenure.

This isn’t a comfy design role. It’s fast, focused, and user-centered.
