THE POSITION
We are expanding and are looking for a UX Researcher to join our team full-time in Munich.

As a UX Researcher at optile, you will incorporate design thinking methods and experiments into our design process. You will help provide actionable and meaningful data-driven insights that represent the voice of multiple users. You will collaborate across customer strategy and support, design, and marketing teams to evaluate current and upcoming user research needs that help to improve product definition and drive business goals. You will initiate, plan and facilitate design workshop and brainstorming sessions, run user interviews, collect and sort qualitative and quantitative data.

You will build up a picture of your target users based on their needs, wants, motivations, and pain-points. These insights enable the wider design team to create user-friendly products based on real user feedback, not assumptions. Being a curious, sociable, and self-driven team player are essential traits to be successful in this role.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Integrate experiments and research practices into the design process
  • Run user research initiatives
  • Plan and run user testing to validate existing and new solutions
  • Moderate design workshops and usability sessions
  • Establish continuous collaboration with customer-facing teams
  • Being responsible for collecting and analyzing user insights from different sources
  • Help develop and implement quantitative surveys
  • Conduct stakeholder and user interviews
  • Work with quantitative data tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
  • Influence design strategy and help the design team to make the right choices based on research data
  • Writing publications about UX topics
  • Deliver actionable and relevant insights aligned to both strategic and tactical product and design decisions

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Background in human behavior related field (HCI, Psychology, Social Science, Information Science, etc.)
  • 3+ years experience in applied product research or UX design
  • Command of a broad set of qualitative and user-centered design methods
  • Basic understanding of quantitative, behavioral analysis and statistical concepts
  • Ability to ask, as well as answer product and user experience related questions
  • Compelling verbal and written communication
  • Design and prototyping tools (we use Sketch)
  • Data tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel)
  • Deep understanding of design process
