About Aerones

Aerones builds the digital and robotic backbone that makes complex field operations predictable, efficient, and trusted—powering renewable energy through better decisions, clearer workflows, and real-world leverage. You’ll design experiences that serve both external clients and internal operators, turning operational complexity into clarity and impact.

Role Summary

We’re hiring a Senior UX/UI Product Designer to lead the design of end-to-end digital experiences across client-facing platforms and operational tooling. This is a dual-context role: you’ll craft polished, trust-building interfaces for external stakeholders while also designing high-leverage, low-friction internal tools that empower field teams and operations to execute with confidence.

What You’ll Own

  • Design and iterate on experiences that span customer portals, partner interfaces, and internal operational dashboards/workflows.
  • Embed with external users (clients/partners) and internal operators (technicians, site leads, ops managers) to surface real needs and mental models.
  • Translate messy, high-variance workflows into intuitive interfaces and scalable design patterns.
  • Lead or evolve a shared design system that balances brand-facing polish with internal efficiency and usability.
  • Prototype, validate, and iterate rapidly—using qualitative research and behavioral data to reduce friction and drive adoption.
  • Partner tightly with product managers, engineers, and operations to align on success metrics, rollout strategies, and change adoption.
  • Design onboarding, guidance, and behavioral nudges that help internal users adopt new tools without disruption.

What Success Looks Like

  • High adoption and satisfaction among internal operational users.
  • External clients experience clear, trustworthy flows with measurable task completion and reduced support friction.
  • Design system components reused across domains, reducing fragmentation and accelerating delivery.
  • Tangible workflow efficiency gains (fewer errors, faster decisions, cleaner handoffs).
  • Feedback loops embedded—design decisions iteratively improved through real usage insights.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on UX/UI design experience across both customer-facing and internal/professional tools (SaaS, enterprise, operations-heavy contexts).
  • Strong user research practice: contextual inquiry, usability testing, synthesis into personas/journeys, and evidence-driven design decisions.
  • Proven ability to design complex workflows and decision-support systems with clarity and reduced cognitive load.
  • Experience building or evolving design systems that serve multiple user cohorts with differing needs.
  • Comfortable balancing aesthetic craft with measurable usability and adoption outcomes.
  • Excellent communication—can tell the “why” behind design choices to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated collaboration in cross-functional environments, especially with product, engineering, and ops teams.

Good-to-Have

  • Background in industrial, field service, renewable energy, maintenance, logistics, or other high-stakes operational domains.
  • Experience designing for mobile/field use under constrained connectivity or time pressure.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation/telemetry to inform UX (embedding hooks, using analytics to detect friction).
  • Change management or experience designing for adoption in resistant or time-pressed internal audiences.

What We Offer

  • High-impact ownership: define and shape tools that directly improve real-world execution and customer trust.
  • Mission alignment: work at the intersection of renewable energy and operational leverage.
  • Collaborative, improvement-oriented culture that values clarity, feedback, and systems thinking.
  • Competitive compensation and equity.
  • Flexible work model anchored in Riga with global partners.
  • Growth support: learning budget, design tooling, and opportunities to scale your work across the organization.

How to Apply

Send your resume and a short case note (1–2 examples) showing how you solved a complex UX problem for both external and internal users—include what you learned, the impact, and any metrics you tracked.
