Introduction to the role & team
At Bumble, we’re on a mission to create a world where healthy relationships — romantic, platonic, and professional — are built on respect and equality. The Core UX Design Team brings this mission to life by shaping how our community experiences Bumble across every touchpoint.
As a Senior Product Designer focused on Bumble Date, you’ll help reimagine what modern dating feels like — safe, joyful, and human. You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and research partners to create intuitive, emotionally intelligent experiences that empower millions to connect with confidence.
You’ll be part of a team that champions craft, consistency, and inclusion across Bumble’s ecosystem. This role calls for a designer who can balance user empathy, data insight, and creativity — all while role-modelling Bumble’s values of Respect, Curiosity, and Joy in their work.
What You'll Do
- Design elegant, user-centered experiences for Bumble Date, contributing to the broader design direction and systems.
- Shape product flows, interactions, and visual design that promote trust and emotional connection.
- Collaborate with UXR, PMs, and Engineers to validate ideas, synthesize insights, and evolve designs iteratively.
- Apply AI-powered tools and methods to accelerate exploration, improve accessibility, and personalize experiences responsibly.
- Contribute to shared UX patterns and design standards that scale across Bumble’s ecosystem, ensuring cohesion and craft excellence.
- Present design rationale clearly and persuasively, helping teams understand how design choices connect to user and business value.
- Model our Bumble core competencies: collaborate with purpose, take ownership, adapt with agility, and deliver from insight to impact.
- Role-model our values of Courage and Respect, ensuring every design decision reflects empathy and inclusion.
About You
- You’re an experienced end-to-end product designer with a track record of delivering thoughtful, high-quality experiences on mobile platforms.
- You love working collaboratively across disciplines — you thrive in spaces where ideas are shared, challenged, and elevated together.
- You balance user insight, technical feasibility, and business context to design solutions that resonate globally.
- You have strong visual and interaction design skills, with expertise in tools like Figma, FigJam, and modern prototyping software.
- You’re fluent in inclusive design principles and accessibility standards, and you bring a global mindset to your work.
- You have curiosity about how AI can enhance creativity and personalisation, and you use these tools ethically and with intention.
- You embody Bumble’s values of Joy, Courage, and Curiosity, using design to foster empathy and connection.
- You take ownership and see projects through from discovery to delivery, demonstrating an agile, proactive mindset.
- Typically requires 6–9 years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills.

Badoo, which was founded in 2006, is one of the pioneers of web and mobile dating products.
AI in Bumble Inc. Hiring
At Bumble, we may use AI tools to support parts of our recruitment process — such as helping us record, transcribe, and summarize conversations, and supporting job alignment by comparing resumes and job descriptions to highlight skills and potential roles that may be a good match. These tools help us work more efficiently and stay focused on you during our conversations. Importantly, all hiring decisions are made by people. AI is used only to support our team’s efficiency and improve the candidate experience — not to evaluate or decide on your candidacy. Participation in AI-supported interviews and conversations is completely voluntary and will not impact your candidacy. If you’d prefer to opt out, simply let your recruiter or interviewer know at the start of a call, or anytime during the interview or conversation. Summaries and related data are retained only as long as needed in line with our internal data retention policies. If at any point you’d like a transcription or summary deleted, please contact your recruiter directly.
