About The Gay Agenda NYC The Gay Agenda is a queer event platform spotlighting NYC’s LGBTQ+ nightlife, arts, and community happenings. We run a popular calendar and weekly newsletter helping queer folks find connection and belonging.
About the Internship You’ll work directly with a Senior UX Researcher who works at a major tech company to help shape the future of The Gay Agenda’s website and community experience. This is an ideal opportunity for a student or emerging researcher looking to gain real-world UX research experience, mentorship, and portfolio pieces.
What You’ll Do
Assist in planning and conducting user research (user interviews, usability tests, etc.)
Analyze feedback and help synthesize insights to improve the site, newsletter, social media experience, and funnel
Explore how queer communities discover, attend, and share events
Collaborate on recommendations for design and content strategy
Optionally: contribute to UX writing/content design, marketing, and design
What You’ll Gain

Ideal Candidate
Passionate about LGBTQ+ community and inclusive design
Knowledge of UX research methodologies
Currently studying UX, psychology, design, sociology, or related field (or self-taught!)
Curious, organized, and comfortable talking to users
