About The Gay Agenda NYC The Gay Agenda is a queer event platform spotlighting NYC’s LGBTQ+ nightlife, arts, and community happenings. We run a popular calendar and weekly newsletter helping queer folks find connection and belonging.

About the Internship You’ll work directly with a Senior UX Researcher who works at a major tech company to help shape the future of The Gay Agenda’s website and community experience. This is an ideal opportunity for a student or emerging researcher looking to gain real-world UX research experience, mentorship, and portfolio pieces.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in planning and conducting user research (user interviews, usability tests, etc.)

  • Analyze feedback and help synthesize insights to improve the site, newsletter, social media experience, and funnel

  • Explore how queer communities discover, attend, and share events

  • Collaborate on recommendations for design and content strategy

  • Optionally: contribute to UX writing/content design, marketing, and design

What You’ll Gain

Ideal Candidate

  • Passionate about LGBTQ+ community and inclusive design

  • Knowledge of UX research methodologies

  • Currently studying UX, psychology, design, sociology, or related field (or self-taught!)

  • Curious, organized, and comfortable talking to users
