Paragon Cyber Solutions has an immediate opening for a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer. We're looking for an individual who is passionate about innovation and developing cutting-edge products that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. Senior User Experience (UX) Designer is here to ensure products are designed for optimized user performance and safety. In this role you will provide product design and human factors & usability responsibilities for new product development and contribute to usability improvements for current products.You will also work closely with teammates in User Experience and Engineering to understand business requirements and drive a user-centered design process that includes research activities and iterative prototype design.

Due to the COVID 19 situation, the interview process would start with a phone screen and then over video for further rounds. The candidate can start working remotely upon being hired. However the candidate is expected to work from the office once things stabilize.


Responsibilities

  • Independently design physical hardware products and systems based on established design principles and in accordance with design strategy, practices, and guidelines.
  • Comfortable preparing and delivering compelling presentations of findings and recommendations for improvements to stakeholders at all levels
  • Systems thinker who can manage both local and global priorities
  • Comfortable brainstorming on the fly at the white-board

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience designing, executing, and reporting
  • Translate UX recommendations and data-driven decisions for feature/function concepts into visual designs such as wireframes and prototypes
  • Working knowledge of 2-D and 3-D CAD tools and software packages for product design.
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g. Axure, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, 3DStudioMax, Seimens Jack, PTC Creo/Solidworks
  • A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a design research-related field: interaction, industrial or product design, psychology, human factors or a related field or the equivalent experience
  • Department of Defense security clearance is preferred at time of hire, but not required.
