UI/UX Designer

ThinkMarkets is a global online brokerage firm, specializing in Foreign Exchange and Commodities trading. Our mission is to disrupt the brokerage industry with our technology platform, superior data insights and marketing practices. We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to join our rapidly growing global workforce based in Chicago!

A successful candidate will combine an accurate understanding of the company’s vision with User-Centered Design practices to improve all projects, platforms, and services. This person should have a flexible and adaptable working mindset to operate well in a fast-paced, growing environment. An important function of this role will be working closely with our global teams to design, test, and launch new features of both our web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

• Create and review all design assets across touch points and devices
• Review current user activity to bring in and optimize new business
• Build interaction models, mock-ups, wireframes, and layouts to promote ease of use
• Prepare prototypes for new product applications and features
• Maintain highest standard of brand and style guides
• Work with multiple stakeholders to gain an understanding of the company vision and execute compelling marketing material
• Collaborate with the design, content, web development, product development, and marketing teams
• Work well in and respond quickly to fast-paced financial markets
• Analyze analytics and qualitative data from user research

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in fine/Graphic Arts or Design or related field
• 3+ years of demonstrated UX/UI experience
• A portfolio demonstrating the following: samples of desktop, mobile and app design, proving experience of linking user needs with business goals
• Demonstrated experience with HTML/CSS, bootstrap, JavaScript, PHP, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Sketch
• Comfortable wireframing, designing, and articulating websites from scratch
• Creativity and strong attention to detail
• Previous Financial Services experience is a plus
