Product Designer

Cleo

MEET CLEO:
Want to build a product that transforms one of life’s most challenging moments into a delightful one? At Cleo, we’re transforming lives by helping families have happier, healthier pregnancies, and smoother transitions into parenthood and back-to-work again.

We’re headquartered in San Francisco and recently raised our Series A round from Greylock Partners. We launched Cleo from the TechCrunch mainstage and have been sprinting ever since. This is a rare opportunity to get in early with an exciting growth business and help shape our success in a critical role.

JOB OVERVIEW:
Cleo is looking for an experienced and ambitious Product Designer to drive the design for our mobile apps and future products. As part of our small, tight-knit product development team, you’ll be responsible for the full design process from ideation to execution.

A Startup Executer: You know how to ship and only feel satisfied when your work reaches users. You understand startup environments; can work fast, iteratively, and right-size solutions. You’re excited about working in an iterative software development environment, pushing new design work into every sprint.

An Experience Expert: You will work throughout all phases of the design process to craft great experiences for our users. You will facilitate the discovery process to ensure that both problem statements and solutions are informed by end-user insights. You will continuously seek and integrate user feedback and data to optimize solutions.

A Visual Crafts Person: You care that your designs solve real user problems and look visually stunning. You will use and extend our brand standards to deliver a consistent, beautiful experience. You know how to take your design ideas from conceptual sketches to production-ready, pixel-perfect mockups. You enjoy pairing with engineers to ensure your designs look as good in the real world as they do in Sketch.

A Collaborator & Influencer: You will collaborate as a peer to product managers and engineers to craft our user experience. You will draw on your mastery of user-centered design to influence the team to create solutions that best meet the needs of our users. You understand how to ‘disagree and commit’ -- you will fight for what you believe is right, but are ready to execute on whatever the team decides.

REQUIREMENTS:
+ 3+ years experience designing high-quality software products across all platforms
+ At least 1 year working on mobile apps
+ Experience shipping products, not just features, from concept to launch
+ Has worked closely with engineering and product in an iterative development environment
+ A portfolio of shipped product work, showcasing your solutions and your process
+ Experience with modern product design tools (e.g. Sketch, Zeplin, InVision, Figma)
+ Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice to have:
+ A degree in design or HCI
+ Previous experience in health or wellness space
+ Previous experience in service design for complex, multi-stakeholder products
