The Position
We're looking for a Junior UX Researcher to work alongside our research team and help scale our research practice at CallRail. The right person for this job would have a basic understanding of UX research practices and the product design cycle, and be eager to grow their knowledge to serve our expanding UX and product development team. A strong candidate would be inquisitive, eager to learn and grow, adaptable, detail-oriented, organized, and communicative. This person will work directly with our customers for conducting research as well as present their findings to stakeholders and product teams.
What You'll Do
- Perform end-to-end usability testings
- Maintain strong customer service while working and testing with customers
- Own the process of planning, recruiting, data collection, analysis, and sharing results for usability testing projects
- Work directly with customers and product teams to test prototypes and end products
- Synthesize findings into meaningful insights and actionables for decision making
- Support teams with product questions through the appropriate user research methods as well as third-party sources of user feedback.
- Document research findings in the UX research repository
- Gather customer feedback to add to the broader understanding of our customer base
- Collaborate with product teams and facilitate research sessions where teams can synthesize findings or hear about project outputs
- Support research findings with quantitative metrics from sources like support tickets, FullStory, Google Analytics, and more
- Produce research deliverables like testing reports or user research artifacts to educate on research findings and the practice of user research as a whole
Desired Skills & Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in product or UX, or coursework that demonstrates a working knowledge of UX research, including planning, recruitment, data collection, analysis, and sharing results
- Comfortable speaking with customers and product teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of the design process and where research fits in
- A portfolio of work or examples that demonstrate user research thinking
- Knows how to articulate the best user research method for specific design questions
- Understanding of user research methods, best practices, and strategies for applying research to product design goals
- Critical thinker with an ability to apply user research to cross-discipline thinking such as content, design, product thinking, and business strategy
