Bungie is seeking a UX Designer to help us create our next great interfaces and player experiences! This role will conceptualize and design large-scale UI/UX features in close collaboration with Art, Engineering, and Design leads to deliver major experiential features for our games. You'll also be mentor for others and help develop the craft of UX Design within the studio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain high level UX strategies and design principles for the team and mentor others on utilizing them
  • Collect and define project and feature goals and requirements with other design teams, using player insights from User Research and Analytics to convert them into solid UX strategies
  • Expert ability to convert goals and requirements into viable shippable solutions through appropriate UX design methodologies, such as wireframes, user flows, and user testing
  • Expert ability to prove out ideas through prototyping
  • Work with design leads on establishing design standards, patterns, and best practices

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Effective collaborator: You can drive a design forward with both your team and stakeholders using solid and proven collaboration methods
  • A clear communicator: You can deliver design feedback to team member effectively and confidently resolve high-level design solutions with stakeholders
  • User-Centered Design advocate: You are put users' needs at the center of all phases of the development process and promote best design practices for others to do the same
  • Growth and mentorship mindset: Even with expert knowledge in design methodologies, you're always working to improve your own skills as well as evolve design thinking practices for the team
  • Process Driven: You can break experiences down in order to ship value to our players. You embrace that an effective user experience needs iterations and frequent evaluations, during any stage of the project. You know how to measure success using both qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Systematic Thinker: Your design process considers moderate-to-large scale solutions that are sustainable over time
  • Experience or education in the field of UX or Product Design, preferably on a range of large-scale, consumer-facing products
  • Must have online UX portfolio

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User-Centered Design, Cognitive science or equivalent
  • Experience working in Agile and using a User-Centered Design process
  • Ability to use software like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar to convey designs
  • Previous working experience in games across multiple platforms

In 2022, most Bungie employees will adopt a flexible schedule working from home part time (outside of positions identified as either 100% onsite or fully remote in CA, FL, IL, NC, TX, and WA). Currently only a select range of positions are available for full-time remote work in CA, FL, IL, NC, TX, and WA (please review location for details). Prospective employees located outside of CA, FL, IL, NC, TX, and WA will need to establish residency in one of the states we are compliant in within 45 days of a start date.
