Responsibilities

Our design team is a tight-knit, collaborative team of product designers, UX researchers and visual designers guided by a highly iterative design process. We work fast, bias towards action, and aren’t afraid to fail. We’re supported by a management team that believes that design is a core pillar in our path to bring automation to everyone, and product and engineering teams that will go above and beyond to focus on what is best for the user. 

We’re looking for a UX Designer who lives and breathes design systems. As the first hire dedicated to design systems, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the way we organize, maintain and use our design libraries. You’ll work with the rest of the design team to create a unified visual and interaction design language across the product.

Requirements

What excites you:

  • Bringing your design system expertise to strategize how to take our design system to the next level.

  • Taking the lead on maintaining the foundations of our design system.

  • Establishing best practices for organizing and maintaining our Figma libraries.

  • Collaborating with product designers and UI developers to design and implement robust, flexible components, patterns and guidelines.

  • Creating and maintaining documentation on all aspects of our design system.

  • Being the expert on all things design systems, and guiding product designers and UI developers on components and patterns.

What excites us:

  • 2 - 4 years of experience working on design systems as part of a larger design team.

  • A degree in Human-computer interaction is a huge plus.

  • Proven experience working with front-end developers to bring your vision to reality.

  • Strong technical understanding of how components are built.

  • Proficiency in web development languages (HTML, CSS, JS) are not required, but are a strong plus.

  • Solid understanding of interaction design and visual design principles. Motion design experience is a strong plus.

  • Solid awareness of accessibility standards and how to incorporate them into design systems at a foundational level.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
