Come join our growing UX team and apply your experience in designing B2B and consumer product experiences around information services to support NewsBank's exciting current product portfolio and new market initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design meaningful product experiences in collaboration with our product development teams, working on multiple products or features concurrently
• Identify and articulate user behaviors and needs, iteratively create rapid prototypes and validate using lean user research techniques
• Own and represent the voice of the user throughout the design process
• Use a variety of methods to communicate design decisions including sketches, personas, information architecture maps, process and interaction flows, user task analysis, wireframes, storyboards, visual design mockups, and low to high fidelity prototypes
• Assist and facilitate various forms of user research to inform design decisions, including usability testing, A/B testing, customer interviews, and surveys
• Contribute to creating and expanding product design systems and pattern libraries
• Present and demo concept designs to executives through collaborative design reviews and contribute in strategic initiatives and planning
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience as a product designer with a focus on information architecture, UI design and user testing
• Strong presentation skills is a must; equally at ease speaking with development teams or executives when articulating and advocating design concepts and rationale
• Must have an online portfolio that demonstrates skill and experience
• Proven experience working across multi-disciplinary teams via agile/scrum processes
• Expertise in designing for responsive web and mobile apps. With knowledge of capabilities and limitations of front-end technologies
• Experience creating design artifacts such as wireframes, user flows, journey maps, design comps, design specs, and prototypes
• Experience working with researchers/analysts to distill qualitative and quantitative feedback, identifying themes and deriving data-driven design decisions
• Experience collaborating with content strategists and an understanding of voice and tone as a key element of the user experience
• Proven history with Agile methodology and tools
• Proven expertise with Axure, Sketch, Zeplin, Jira and Adobe Suite, with an ability and openness to learn new tools quickly
• Experience assembling interfaces using established design systems and patterns
• A background designing and building solutions for information retrieval systems is a plus
• An aptitude and passion for working in teams, and a willingness to help your team complete tasks outside of your core strength, if necessary
• A solid understanding of user-centered design processes, systems thinking, and interaction design principles
