Lead UI/UX Designer

Resi is looking to hire an experienced and enthusiastic Lead User Interface/User Experience Designer who is comfortable owning the end-to-end user experience, reporting directly to our female CTO. From requirements gathering and ideation through to build, launch and performance review, you will have a huge impact on the Resi applications. It is important that you are able to clearly offer guidance on improving the user experience of our applications through design and performance optimisations. You will need to be comfortable with experimenting to discover the perfect user experience and work with others (both inside and outside of the business) to define and achieve this.


 


You will develop and manage a talented team of UI/UX designers; inspiring them to do their best work through your vision, communication, coaching, and problem solving techniques. Your team will define early concepts, articulate end-to-end experiences, and craft effective design solutions across a range of teams and environments, working side-by-side with our engineers.


 


We are a female-led business, currently at ~140 people based in International House right at the heart of Brixton, South London. International House is the UK’s first Living Wage Building. Key Responsibilities



  • Translate complex business processes into intuitive and elegant user and product experience

  • Assist in the development and evaluation of personas, user stories, and usability studies. Understand customer needs by driving customer/UX research and usability studies

  • Create process flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design strategies and detailed interaction behaviours

  • Provide guidance on improving the user experience of our applications through design and performance optimisations

  • Lead cross-team conceptual development and design documentation partnering with PMs, engineers, business teams, and senior management

  • Handle multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment

  • Be the go-to member of the team for questions or queries on UI/UX


 


Your Experience:



  • 5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar

  • Experience working in B2C, enterprise products, internal tools, or SAAS environments

  • Strong portfolio of work showing digital product design experience

  • Strong understanding of UX and user-centric design processes with data-driven analytics capabilities

  • Ability to influence others to set and achieve goals and deadlines

  • Ability to prioritise and manage projects

  • Expertise with Figma

  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
