As a Public Benefit Corporation, The Farm Project and our initiative Lettuce Grow are working on creating a new food system. We believe that the future of food lies in empowering thriving, localized food economies that benefit the health of the people, the planet, and the communities around us.
We are looking for a Product Designer who wants to join a dynamic company as a key member of the Product team. This is an opportunity to collaborate with our engineers and product managers, to design products and feature sets that will empower our customers to select and grow their own food on our website and in our native app. You should be ready to pick up projects, balance priorities, and be willing to take ownership of our design needs as we are a growing direct to consumer, start-up in AgTech.
Responsibilities:
- You’ll partner with product managers and engineering teams to create products and feature sets that deliver seamless experiences to our customers
- Deliver design artifacts such as storyboards, journey maps, user flows, wireframes, mockups and rapid prototypes that create alignment through the product development lifecycle
- Develop and participate in user research interviews and surveys to understand our customers attitudes, behaviors, and ideas to refine and improve our products and features
- Collaborate with Product Managers to establish and evolve a consistent experiential design and UI across our
- Identify and resolve experience design issues that could impede a positive user experience
- Created a consistent UX and UI between the LettuceGrow website and Native app
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of UX/UI design experience with a portfolio of your design work
- Able to work in an agile environment with an iterative approach to product and feature design
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization
- Comfortable presenting design ideas through storytelling with the ability to connect creatively with your audience
- Proficient with HTML, CSS, Sketch and Figma
- Experience with user testing, A/B testing, user interviews and user research methodologies
- Presenting a clear vision and structure to products or customer experiences
- Experience with direct to consumer marketing, ecommerce and comfort in a start-up environment is a plus
