We are searching for a dynamic and experienced UX Designer to join our team and help us build out the future for autonomous and robotics machines. The UX designer will help design and develop complex web applications that solve real world problems. We are looking for an exceptionally talented UX Designer with extensive interactive experience working with enterprise grade web applications. Collaborating closely with product developers, managers and engineers, you will be creating innovative UX designs for next generation connected world web applications.
This position can be remote or local to Philadelphia.
Responsibilities
- Apply your design knowledge to develop sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes
- Take rough ideas and/or sketches and manifest them into pixel-perfect designs and thoughtful interactions and experiences
- Imagine, craft, contribute to, and develop interactions and experiences with a focus on simplicity, consistency, and delight
- Help estimate design effort
- Provide guidance and help the team establish and follow UX best practices and guidelines
- Breakdown requirements into design components and experiences
- Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and develop designs and experiences to meet them and realize product goals
- Develop and maintain a design language and system that is consistent across FORT UIs
- Contribute to documentation involving design language, system, and process
- Produce design visualizations to help everyone understand what the best experience should be: storyboards, flows, wireframes and prototypes.
Qualifications
- A background in the design field (Graphic, UI/UX, Interaction, etc.) and/or demonstrable experience with a proven track-record and portfolio
- You produce stunning, interactive experience visualizations as well as precise design documentation.
- A passionate designer with 3+ years’ experience in web and mobile design
- Proficient in Figma (Sketch and InVision applicants also welcomed), Illustrator experience is a plus
- Experienced with animations
- Highly detail-oriented
- Experienced working on a cross-functional team
- Familiar with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Extremely driven to achieve aggressive goals, and motivated by the mission of the organizations you are involved with
