About the Role
We're looking for innovative, passionate, and self-motivated designers who are excited to uncover the biggest user problems and solve them through the creation of amazing products and experiences. You will be partnering with our teams from product, engineering to marketing and sales to support the growth of our products and business. Our belief is that products in the eCommerce world should be simple to use, should amaze our users (and their audiences), and should help everyone connect. We have a big roadmap, big ambitions, and lots of exciting work ahead.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to ensure key features are being prioritized.
- Ensure all our products live up to the standards of ‘amazing’ our users and their audiences.
- Work with our Director of Product Design to create scalable processes and documentation, unify tooling, create best practices and support team growth.
- Design for the future - help provide clarity for product vision and future design direction
- Work closely with your cross-functional team including the Product Manager to create and then communicate plans with stakeholders.
- Provide feedback and reviews of work for your team members to support growth and alignment.
- Staying ahead of design and interaction trends and looking for creative ideas and inspiration in parallel analogous worlds including competitive research, trends, best practices, user and business insights.
- Be the voice of the user - create empathy, derive insights through feedback and interviews to then identify and propose changes to our products or design patterns.
What we’re looking for
- 4 + years experience as a UX/UI designer building and shipping applications or software.
- A passion to create amazing ideas, product experiences and be part of something BIG.
- Strong work portfolio that demonstrates systematic and creative design thinking as well as a deep understanding of UI/UX best practices.
- Strong ability to recognize and predict use cases and user interaction and incorporate them into designs.
- Thrive in collaborative environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (the ability to effectively sell an idea).
- Ability to manage time wisely across projects and competing priorities, meet agreed upon deadlines, and be accountable for work.
- Experience in working with a cross-functional team or large-scale software development lifecycle.
- Experience representing your end-to-end design process across multiple projects, that include interaction and visual design artifacts, prototypes, and consideration of the impact and scale of work
- A passion for solving user problems and creating simple solutions - creating user flows and wireframes that improve user interactions
- You can balance big picture thinking with research, data and specific solution detail.
- Experience in SaaS or eCommernce is a big plus.
