Description

SUMMARY

The UX Interaction Designer will work with internal teams, such as Product, Dev, and other designers to build a beautiful product, illustrate a concept, prototype an idea, and create exceptional digital work. Together with the Product Design team and product leadership, this individual will contribute to the design direction while assisting, supporting, and collaborating with our team of designers.

  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead design efforts across multiple engagements
• Hands-on design execution from conceptualization to the final product
• Collaborate with product management and development teams
• Critique other design work and give actionable feedback to other team members
• Communicate ideas on a white board
• Create insightful & high-fidelity screen designs using Photoshop and Sketch
• Build prototypes that demonstrate complex ideas and interactions
• Know when to use wireframes and user flows
• Gather data to inform design decisions

               

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4+ years of design experience
• Communicate ideas clearly
• Experience in product design
• Know how to interpret data to make informed design decisions
• Solid thinker with a clear point of view
• Self-starter with proactive and positive attitude
• The ability to inspire others to do great work
• Experience and knowledge of Information Architecture
• An understanding collaboration leads to the best work
• Outstanding portfolio
• Passion for technology, art and science
• In-depth understanding of development technologies
• An advanced proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop or Sketch and InVision
• An understanding of design opportunities for different devices and screen types

 Physical Requirements

Work is primarily sedentary in nature; no special demands are required. 25% travel, to meet with clients, attend industry events, or support BlackLine-sponsored events.
