About the StraitsX team
The StraitsX team is building the payments infrastructure for Digital Assets in Southeast Asia. We aim to connect millions of individuals and businesses in the region to the Digital Assets market through our suite of products, including Xfers Wallet and Xfers Direct. About the role
We're looking for an experienced UX Designer to shape the StraitsX platform experience for our customers and their clients. You will own the user experience for how individuals and businesses connect with the Digital Assets market through our suite of products. You will be responsible for gathering user testing insights, crafting intuitive user flows and delivering a best-in-class experience for our customers. You will collaborate with a diverse set of specialists, including UI/UX designers, product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders across the StraitsX team to design the future of payments on digital platforms.
What you'll be doing
- Collecting and analyzing product requirements.
- Planning and designing user experience in any media based on requirements using various methods.
- Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems.
- Performing user testing and evaluating the results to improve user experience.
- Generating user testing insights, creative recommendations, and storytelling presentations that can drive design improvements and product roadmaps.
- Align with other teams to ensure that your research will have an impact on users, business goals, and the organization.
- Advocating curiosity and empathy towards users across the organization.
- Adapting and innovating research methodologies and sharing with the team to help enrich the team’s skills and expertise.
What we're looking for
- You have a strong portfolio of previous projects.
- You have at least 3 years of proven experience in conducting qualitative research (field study, in-depth interview, qualitative usability testing, etc.) and communicating recommendations to stakeholders.
- You have experience in producing sketches/wireframes.
- You have a proven track record of delivering measurable results for both users and business.
- You have strong problem-solving skills and the willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
- You are analytical, have deep empathy for customers, and are able to synthesize qualitative and quantitative research to inform your approach.
- You are comfortable working in a tech environment with the ability to coordinate across several functions (Product, Engineering, Business Operations, Compliance, Marketing, Design, Business Development).
- You have the ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understand the basic UX design process and principles.
- Fluency in English is a must.
Nice to have
- You have experience working in the FinTech industry on payments-related products.
