At Moon, you will:

  • Address real human needs that have far-reaching social impact

  • Start with people and leverage the beauty and messiness of human-centered design

Moon is looking for people who are passionate about unlocking the innate creativity of others while designing impactful businesses. Come join us!

Who We Are Looking For

This role is based out of Moon’s Tokyo studio, Spring Terrace, in Omotesando.

As a Design Lead, UX/UI, you will join a global design community that engages with Moon entrepreneurs focused on building new ventures. Our design community is diverse and represents many facets of design including Product Design, UX/UI, Communication Design, Design Research, and Industrial Design among others.

In this role you will leverage your experience as a UX/UI leader while also meaningfully contributing to other design disciplines. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced, creative, and multicultural environment. You're driven by your curiosity, and not afraid to ask the hard questions. You strive to understand why, and perhaps most of all, ambiguity is your friend.

We are looking for an exceptional Design Lead who wants to be part of bringing human-centered innovation into the world. You will have the opportunity to discover and serve unmet user needs by applying your expertise in building products and services to address real-world problems. In this role you will leverage your entrepreneurial experience and mindset to help Moon create change through the design of scalable, sustainable solutions that are human-centered and new to the world.

What You’ll Do at Moon

Creating impact through design

You will help entrepreneurs, researchers, and designers see alternative ways to think about a design problem and lead them through hurdles and moments where they are stuck. You accomplish this by being hands-on, creating tools, processes, and systems that produce transparency, alignment, and direction. You will also provide design support and inspiration as well as a keen perspective to ventures while informing decisions that affect the design community.

Collaborating closely with Design, Product and Engineering

You will work closely with other disciplines to work towards alignment impactful user experiences across all products, constantly sharing ideas and learnings.

Growing the Design Craft and Discipline

You will leverage your UX/UI–specific background as well as general design expertise and perspective to inspire others and meaningfully contribute to our global design team spanning Silicon Valley and Tokyo.

Brand Ambassador

You will represent Moon’s brand, mission, and culture both inside and outside of the organization. You will evangelize Moon internally or when working with outside agencies, vendors, or with any community partners.
