About the Role:
The Marketing team at PitchBook is critical to fueling the company’s growth by utilizing a variety of strategies to help our Sales and Customer Success departments grow and retain our client base. The Marketing department is responsible for all demand generation efforts by executing engaging campaigns, effective product marketing strategies and supporting client and trade-show events. The Marketing team is also responsible for our Employer Brand, sharing creative marketing efforts to aid in recruiting, employee engagement and internal communications.
At PitchBook, the UI Designer participates in all aspects of digital design on the corporate website (PitchBook.com) and related channels, including but not limited to UX, UI and visual design. UI Designers partner with other team members to make design decisions and to translate any user-experience journey into a beautiful, accessible and intuitive interaction. This UI designer will work in close collaboration with other creatives (visual and UX designers, copywriters and editors, multimedia and content strategy), project managers, Marketing Web Managers and Digital Marketing Managers. This role will report to the Associate Director of Design who reports to the Creative Director.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to collaborate closely with UX designers, developers and copywriters
- Give and solicit feedback to designers to continuously raise our bar for quality
- Apply and grow systems thinking to enhance existing features and design for scalability
- Ability to embrace new processes and methods that lead to efficiencies
- Replicate templated pages to keep consistent systems and modules across projects
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Interpret creative briefs and present ideas/strategies on executions
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2–3 years of experience as a UI Designer or a similar role
- Strong user interface and visual design portfolio
- Strong skills with design tools such as Figma (preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite
- Demonstrated knowledge of visual design fundamentals like typography, composition and color
- Knowledge of contemporary web design best practices to create world-class experiences
- Passion for usability and visual experience and an understanding of how visual and interaction design work together to create great user experiences
- Strong presentation skills and ability to clearly communicate and support design decisions and how they add value to the product
