As we continue to build our Experience function, we’re now looking to hire a UX Designer, who will be based in our HK office and support clients across both HK and the wider APAC region. You’ll be reporting into our Experience Design Lead in HK and will work closely with colleagues across Design, as well as Strategy, Technology, Delivery and Client Services. Our ideal candidate will have a background in consulting or agency work with proven experience of handling multiple projects at one time. Fluency in spoken English and Cantonese is a must as you’ll be working with both local HK and regional clients.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO
- Support on activities to identify, validate and complete actionable insights, including but not limited to artefacts such as: sketches, user journeys, scenarios, flows, interaction models and wireframes
- Help to conduct Design Thinking workshops to best understand the customer’s decision-making process
- Create AB and Usability Tests to gain learnings, conduct competitor reviews and customer surveys and monitor website data to gain insights for design decisions
- Work closely with the project team and stakeholders, including end-users to define project vision, and prioritise and complete activities that help achieve the shared vision
- Estimate efforts and plan activities that successfully drive agreed project outcomes
- Support the team on client engagements from a perspective of collaboration, communicating design rationale and recommending solution
WHO YOU ARE:
- 3-4 years’ experience creating interfaces, large-scale digital experiences and/or applications with a digital design portfolio
- Fluency in both spoken Cantonese and English is essential, reading and writing traditional Chinese is an advantage, but not a must.
- Able to provide examples of where you have designed experiences across multiple channels, including web, mobile and native applications
- Experience designing for a variety of industries including healthcare / life sciences, retail, financial services, travel, etc…
- Direct client interaction experience with the ability to build relationships, understand client vision/direction and present designs and concepts
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Miro
- Strong experience using various prototyping tools to help understand the problem, test concepts and communicate experiences to internal teams
- Full understanding of how to identify the needs of real users through research, Customer Journey Mapping and apply the insights to the design strategy and business needs
- Successful track record working with interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of Service Design, design systems, and agile methodologies would be advantageous
- You are a self-starter who is energetic, pragmatic and welcoming of new challenges.
- Capable of managing your own workload effectively and prioritising tasks in order to meet deadlines.
